I was injured on my 27th birthday at a morning solo session, these are clips of my recently session. I chose to skate with Salomon skates one size bigger than my feet with a thin roces liner to show that I can do it with every skate, and maybe get a sponsor. I don’t know when my dislocated elbow with a fracture will heal but I’m already missing skating after 5 days. I was alone 1.5 hour when I fell, got surgery after 13 hours waiting, my parents paid a lot of money, and I realized that I’m spending too much for just my love, the tool of my mind. “Wait! It’s not over!” - Yandriel Silverio. New York City — August 28th, 2021. Things come and go as times change but the Boschi Pope Skate Off is still holding on strong as we all came together for another year here in NYC. Boschi was in the crowd once again cheering with everyone as we all watched it go down. Personally, I took it a bit easy this year as I really wanted to hang with everyone and catch up with friends so I didn’t film as much coverage as usual but I can definitely tell you that I had a great time. This year was no exception and once again I had chance to be part of Blading Camp and coach the campers from all over the globe. Thank you Josh Glowicki, Uani and everyone else who I met for the amazing week. Now it’s been over 2 months off skates because of the injury and even though I’m trying find positive things in this situation and keep it optimistic I miss skating more than anything. - Nils Jansons.
