September 4th-7th 2025. New York City - Following up after 2023’s success is no easy task especially when the most uncontrollable variable happens: RAIN… and lots of it. Two days out of four isn’t too bad considering the forecast said rain all week. The first day was the DSTRY Popup where Reverse Halo was premiered as well as a photo exhibit.
The weather during day 2 at the famous Brooklyn banks held out long enough to get a session in as well as being able to finish the day with Metro Mania, the first Inline Alley Cat Race hosted by Track or Die’s Shardy Nieves and finally ending with a 25th anniversary viewing of Live From New York and Theories. We even premiered two of our own videos as well. There was no salvaging day 3 as the rain hit the park hard so day 4 was on a very tight schedule and I would say it turned out to be a successful day. It was a pleasure to see everyone rip the DIY course and as always, it’s a great time to be around the NYC fam. This is home. One Love!
“The Iqon US pro team took a trip to Texas to shred and join the Blade Hunter comp. A comp specifically catered to the youth and upcoming amateur skaters. While in Texas, the weather had other plans. Montre Livingston in without a hassle but poor Chad Hornish had the wait of a lifetime with several delays for his flight and threats of cancelation. Luckily he made it hours later with all smiles. Next, it was 3 out of 5 days of rain and flooding”.

“The crew managed to get out and get what they could while the weather permitted it, hitting up some colleges and local spots for clippies. The Blade Hunter comp went on without any hiccups. It was an amazing comp and we were happy to see so many new skaters as well as upcoming skaters. We gave away a free pair of ACT10 Skates to the winner and a ton of prizes to the rest of the competitors as well as had a fun product toss, haha. Big shout out to John Sullivan for shooting the entire trip and Aarin Gates and him for editing as well as hosting. Can’t wait for the next team trip”.
