September 4th-7th 2025. New York City - Following up after 2023’s success is no easy task especially when the most uncontrollable variable happens: RAIN… and lots of it. Two days out of four isn’t too bad considering the forecast said rain all week. The first day was the DSTRY Popup where Reverse Halo was premiered as well as a photo exhibit.
The weather during day 2 at the famous Brooklyn banks held out long enough to get a session in as well as being able to finish the day with Metro Mania, the first Inline Alley Cat Race hosted by Track or Die’s Shardy Nieves and finally ending with a 25th anniversary viewing of Live From New York and Theories. We even premiered two of our own videos as well. There was no salvaging day 3 as the rain hit the park hard so day 4 was on a very tight schedule and I would say it turned out to be a successful day. It was a pleasure to see everyone rip the DIY course and as always, it’s a great time to be around the NYC fam. This is home. One Love!
"Oklahoma Showdown, 2025 Edition, is the 4th annual contest put on by Zach Smith so shout out to him. Shouts to Resurgence Skate Shop for putting up a grand and to Tyler Davis for putting up 500$ and to all the others who donated money".
“Shouts to Lava Skates for giving out of over 30 pairs of free skates to the kids who wanna learn or needed some better skates. The future is bright haha. Shouts to Mike French, Derek French, Phil Gripper as well as all the Texas guys and everyone else I saw and met. I had a fun time. Till I see you again… Enjoy!”. - Hawke Trackler.

Metro Card Classic 2025 - September 4-7, 2025 - New York City.
The best rollerbladers competing against each other in a video edit competition driven by the inline skating community for the culture. Check all the entries here (Youtube Playlist).
Fundraiser: Link on Gofundme.com - 8 074 £ funded so far (should be around the same value in $/€, 20% more or less)
50% of what’s raised will be split equally between the skaters as a base rate for taking part - So they are getting paid for their efforts, which I think is a first for a rollerblading competition. The other 50% will be awarded to the Community Winners 1st, 2nd, 3rd, voted for by you and the Expert Winner, selected by a panel.
Check all the entries on this Youtube Playlist. Featuring: Robert Spassov, Julien Cudot, Seba Seufferheld, Levi van Rijn, Nils Jansons & more. You can vote here for your favorite entry.
Hawke Trackler is the most prolific video editor of the two last decades. Props to him for covering contests & producing quality profiles of some of the best skaters the scene has to offer. Tonee Hawk, as he likes to call himself, also has this habit of adding an awards section when covering huge contests series: fun clips & memories of good times. Here is a compilation of his favourite ones. Enjoy!

“Everyone skated so hard, we appreciate everyone showing up, hard work pays off”. - Lydell Lockett.
July 12th, 2025. Washington DC - On a lovely hot summer day, this contest was pulling us together to bring fun vibes to the streets in the nations capital. A lot of tourists who were passing by on foot to see the famous landmarks took a moment to watch the decent amount of skaters cheering eachother on as they skated in their heats. Much love to the organizers and to everyone who showed up. Good times as always. - butterTV.
