Last week the Urban Sports Week Amsterdam offered non mainstream sports a platform to showcase themselves to spectators from all over the world. Inline skating took over the spine ramp and the park with riders from all over Europe.
On Saturday Danny Aldridge from the UK finished 1st at the Spineramp contest. Danny dominated with smooth lines, technical grind and massive flips.
On Sunday, which was literally a Sunny day, The crowd gathered in front of the Stedelijk Museum to watch the inline park finals. The skaters all went berserk and huge tricks were done during the competition.
The Bronze medal went to Dutch street and park talent Sem Croft, Silver is for Jeremy Suarez from Belgium and the winner, who went home with €1.000,- is Romain Godenaire from France.
Special shout out to Jaro Frijn from Amsterdam who represented hard AF. What a great week for urban sports and inline skating in particular. We can’t wait till next year, which will be bigger, faster and harder. - Sven Boekhorst.

Sven Boekhorst is travelling through europe to attend events and contests. Last weekend he skated Barcelona Extreme and finished 5th at park. The contest was a blast but unfortunately he will remember this contest cause of a bad slam. Check out the video what went down, and be sure to always wear your helmet.
Jeremy Suarez visited the Italian scene a few weeks ago. The vibrant and lively scene skated and had a good time with the enthusiastic skater from Belgium.
The tour started in Rome with a 10K Challenge with the Pinco Association and Italy’s most important aggressive shop Freemove. Unfortunately the 10K didn’t go as planned due to rain. The next day, Jeremy sessioned the “Bunker Skatepark with the locals. The same day they also visited the biggest park in Italy “Blade is better skatepark” with the Italian Rollerblade team. Sonia Pugliese, Allessandro Galavotti and Jeremy Suarez laced some technical and huge tricks.
On Monday the posse’ went to Milan and skated the Milan 10K Challenge. A group of 70 skaters cruised through Milan Hinterland and stopped at the 2 biggest skateshops Rigoldi Brother and Df Sport specialist. In Milan a friend of Jeremy and Rollerblade street-athlete Sven Boekhorst joined in on the session and the after party!
The last day was the celebration of the 6th birthday of the Milanoskating. A community of more than 220 people gathered to celebrate and skate the Milanoskating.

Woahhh! Got 1st place at the Pannonian Challenge 2017 in Croatia. Couldn’t feel better, such a great time we had. Today was just a perfect day of skating with amazing people and good vibes, Thanks Osijek, Rollerblading! - Roman Abrate.
The FISE World Games in Montpellier is all wrapped up, and now they are moving on to the next stop in Canet located in the south of France. Rollerblade represented in Montpellier. Here is a brief summary about the experience.
Poni from Jakarta, Indonesia and Guillaume le Gentil from Paris, France entered the rail battle. Poni was pleased to finish the contest with a very nice sweat-stance. The feat was especially challenging because Poni lost his skates prior to the event starting. He had to compete on a pair of Rollerblade skates quickly put together from spare parts. Guillaume also skated during the rail contest and impressed the spectators and judges with his stylish tricks.
Sven Boekhorst had a great contest the week before taking home 1st Place on the Spine Ramp and 2nd Place in Park. At Montpellier Sven competed in the Park, Slopestyle and the Spine Ramp contests. It was a challenging series of events for Sven, but he was still able to push through and take home a 6th place finish in the Spine Ramp competition.
Jeremy Suarez was on fire heading into Montpellier, and was a serious contender for the gold medal. Unfortunately our Belgium powerhouse was injured during the Roller Freestyle Park Pro Invitational practice and couldn’t compete at the FISE World Games.
