Rollerblading has transformed over the years, and few have navigated its Evolution like Julian Bah. Born and raised in Atlanta, Julian rose to the top as a professional skater, adapting to the ever-changing landscape of the sport while staying true to his unique style.
“EVOLUTION” explores how skating has grown, the challenges that have come with it, and how Julian has redefined himself through each shift—both on and off the blades. This documentary captures the resilience, creativity, and adaptability that keeps Julian moving forward.
Thanks to Chris Smith for providing some of the footage you see in the final film. I’d also like to thank Richard Williams, Chilly-O, and T.K. Art for providing their time for interviewing with us. As well as Village Skatepark for providing a space for this to come to fruition. Shot on Blackmagic Ursa 12k Canon CN-E 18-80 Rokinon 8mm Edited and Color Graded In Davinci Resolve by Brandersen.
Captured, cut, and produced by Brian Freeman, this episode dives into Julian Bah’s impact on the skate community, his influence in his hometown of Atlanta, and the bridges he’s built through skating.
“This is a love letter to my skate community. Conceptualized in late July of 2024, Equilibrium is an Atlanta based edit that features much of the vibrant skating scene that continues to thrive well out of the pandemic”.
“Created by Richard Williams, SK8TL is a group that was born from the days of social distancing, and places a heavy distinction on celebrating the similarities & differences alike that are found within inline and quad skating. Please enjoy this passion project, and share to expand our city’s outreach as a magnet for wheelie-feet. Thanks to the sponsors of this project, and looking forward to a second installation for 2025”. - Richard Williams.
The year 2021 marked our 10 year anniversary. The past 10 years have been a rollercoaster ride, full of amazing moments that we will never forget! A lot of those memories were made on tour with the riders of the Adapt team. We want to thank all current and past Adapt riders for being part of those experiences. Thank you! - Olga and Pieter.
