Miami, Florida - October 7th, 2023. In its fourth event, The FM Invitational was high energy throughout the entire day. Kicking off with the Juniors competition, then working its way through the Bladies, to the Quads, and finishing off with the Men’s competition - each event had a strong crowd cheering everyone loudly as the celebratory screams echoed throughout Skate Bird (which is the name of the park this event is held).

A lot of great skating was happening from all different directions which sometimes makes it difficult to capture every moment so it’s always recommended to check out all the other media coverage that comes out of these events to get a sense of who did what. With that being said, Chris Edwards held down the mic and kept things in order along with special guest Arlo. It was a long day and it was a fun one. In summer 2023, I wanted to make an edit at this amazing skatepark in Ghent, Belgium. I had been living in that city for almost 2 years and I was moving away. I wanted to remember the good times I had there, so making an edit was the perfect way to do this. I really enjoyed this park and met some lovely people there.

The new USD Aeon EQT 60 stands for Equity. This is a new model specifically released to support and fund the female riders in our team. The Aeon EQT is available in our fullest size range to be accessible to all riders regardless of gender, age or ability. This new model is a continuation on from our last moves to support the female skate scene, after our initial collaboration with the Bladies brand. USD is now releasing the EQT to acknowledge and address the lack of opportunities for female riders in the blading community and allow them to have a more active role within it.

Equity stands for fairness and justice for a segment of the blade community that has long been overlooked and under supported, but can now be supported by the whole community through this skate. We hope this can be the first of many future models released to support the female riders of the brand. The royalties of this model will go directly towards funding the invaluable work of all USD’s female riders.
