Our guest on the Cave Crew Shodcast is the infamous Sluglord, one of finest exports from Wainuiomata (New Zealand). He’s one of the few sponsored skaters in this country with a progressive style and uniquely savvy approach to content creation and use of Instagram. Weve been a fan of his skating for a while so were super happy to chat to him and find out more about the man behind the long hair.

WS Roller Freestyle World Cup, Men Finals - A ROLLER FINAL TO REMEMBER!
It was the appointment of this day not to be missed the WS ROLLER FREESTYLE PARK WORLD CUP MEN FINAL! The format: 12 riders, 2 heats of 6 riders, runs of 50 seconds, the best run counts. The judging criteria: difficulty of the tricks, technique, amplitude, creativity and use of the park.
The first heat was composed of Aurel Le Cam, Diego Guilloud, Lenny Jourda, Cj Wellsmore, Víctor Medrano, and Joe Atkinson. Lenny Jourda stood out, a young 17 years old rider, who grew up with FISE, landed a double back flip, which the crowd loved. Australian Cj Wellsmore impressed everyone with a really unique run using the entire park.
The second heat is composed of Takeshi Yasutoko, Roman Abrate, Nicolas Servy, Julien Cudot, Jay Yoon and Diako Diaby. The level of this second heat was incredible and they all used the course to its maximum. The French skaters really stood out from the crowd, especially Diako Diaby who was incredible in this final and Julien Cudot who made the crowd lose their minds.
On the podium, in the bronze medal place we have Julien Cudot, the silver medal Jay Yoon and Diako Diaby wins the gold medal!

WS Roller Freestyle World Cup, Women Finals - THE FUTURE OF FREESTYLE ROLLER IS NOW
The eight best riders are gathered on the Park to send their heaviest tricks and most innovative lines, while a new generation is pushing hard too!
With such a great line-up, the judges are tasked with deciding between all these talented athletes. The results are in, and despite the disappointment for some promising new riders like Carla Martin, the podium looks great! In third place comes Armelle Tisler, who connected nice spins and technical grinds all through her run. On the second step, the young up-and-comer Anaelle Nogueira gave it her all with a performance full of style and committed tricks to take the victory. But on top of the podium, the USD pro rider from Spain, Mery Munoz won with a big run, punctuated by a top soul on the rail and a frontflip on the box!
A beautiful sun, a great show, and an enthusiastic crowd, this is the kind of moment we love to start the weekend well! The riders were great, Montpellier loved it, and the future of Freestyle Roller is looking brighter than ever!
