Between the Mind the Gap shows we found some time to go to a nice outdoor skatepark in Zurich which was close to the event.
Event photographer Dominic Swagemakers found some time to put his skates on this sunny session together with Jan Hoogtijeling, Dick Heerkens, oldschool Rollerblade rider Dihn Thai and myself. Later that day we did our last Mind the Gap show with some crazy spins from Swiss rider Maxime Genoud.
Team Rollerblade made a visit to one of the oldest cities in Poland.
We stopped by the Polish Rollerblade headquarters which was hosting a local contest outside of Poznan. This city had some of the best street spots, including a huge quarter-pipe at Malta lake.
This year he turns 19 and he is realizing life has much to offer. He is still improving his level of skating.
A couple of months ago he landed the first flat-spin 900 over the Mind the Gap set-up. In the future we hop to see more of his crazy flat-spin 540′s.
Maxime did a flat-spin 540 in Lausanne over a distance of more than 15 meters. Maxime is on a level beyond the rest when it comes to launching.

Maxime Genoud, Guillaume Le Gentil and Sven Boekhorst were having a small pre session at Sven’s local skatepark (in Den Bosch).

Most of the new generation forgot that rollerblading is about rolling in the first place, Maxime Genoud is definitely not one of them.
He’s almost every day on his rollerblades and enjoy doing hammers as much as rolling down the streets.
I’ve known him for years and what I can say about him is that when it comes to compete and lay scary stunts is always there to push the limits further.
