Why We Rollerblade (video)

quoting Anthony Gardner:
Another documentary of rollerblading I did for my final project in my video production class.
I just wanted to show more of what rollerblading truly is with skating by Eric Montealegre, Kyle “Guam” Jordan, Chance Bentley, Bradley Wilson, Chunk, Mark Wodja, and more, and voice-overs by Chunk.
So check it out and enjoy! [...]

If you really want to learn the tricks of the tour pros you have to have rolled for at least 10 years. Without 10 years of blade knowledge you have no business in the blade game. That is why Im so harsh in my criticisms. The real skaters are not being promoted(what ever happened to Mike French or Aaron Feinberg?) Brad Magnuson. Who are you Anthony Gardner and why aren’t you PUTTING IN A LITTLE MORE EFFORT TO SHOWCASE TALENT.

Tat Natus, where do you live?
June 13th, 2009 at 10:44 am
tat natsu he isn’t doing it to promote anyone, it was a project
and feinberg left the game on his own accord.

‘If you really want to learn the tricks of the tour pros you have to have rolled for at least 10 years. Without 10 years of blade knowledge you have no business in the blade game.’

June 13th, 2009 at 7:12 pm
This edit was great. It really shows were blading is join. GREAT
June 13th, 2009 at 8:22 pm
Really nice edit. I used to love showing kids in school what we do. Hey Tat, do you still skate? You used to kill it but the whole comment towards rollerbladers who are new to the game and these guys was fucked up. Any rollerblader is a rollerblader, no matter how long they have skated for.
June 13th, 2009 at 9:02 pm
just so u know, montre has been skating for a while if u read his one magazine interveiw. fyi
June 14th, 2009 at 3:50 am
wow tat that was a harsh comment but if you really are Tat Natsu then props to you man you are sick. But i definitely disagree with your comment my friend. 10 yrs so many skaters that skate now do not have that on there belt. If everyone under 10 yrs just gave up the Rollerblade industry would fall faster the 1930s economy. Those little kids that buy Rollerblade products with there mothers credit card put money into this sport.
Oh and i love the first trick that shit was hard, ive seen it done before but that guy put steez nto that shit. Props
June 14th, 2009 at 9:30 am
this was good but.. alot of the talkin was kinda corny.. over all it was dope tho
June 14th, 2009 at 8:06 pm
“razors” the first song is the instrumental to common-the people. I just want to thank everyone for the comments too, I appreciate it. And to “tat” I would use pros and bigger names if I could, but these are all the guys I skate with so I am trying to get their names out there more so they could become bigger names in the sport.
June 15th, 2009 at 1:10 am
I hate to say this, but there is a chance that other people might think rollerbladers are really stupid if they watch this movie. Really bad propaganda for the sport dude.
June 15th, 2009 at 7:01 am
thanx 4 all the comments guys. actually ive been blading for about 11 years now and ive known about the scene for longer. i dont think its experience that counts but the passion u put into whatever u do. look at the artist who get paid thousabds for a painting barely anyone likes. its worth that much cause he put his soul into it
June 15th, 2009 at 9:31 pm
tat isnt saying that any new skaters should quit. not the point at all. learn to comprehend first. he’s basically saying all the kids now a days dont know roots. feinberg left on his own accord…but it was after he was fed up with the way things were. he still skates sometimes. but he doesnt put in the time and effort he used to. if any of you have ever seen him skate…its like a monster on coke and meth. non stop monster session. of course haffey and the like can do that now a days…but feinberg was doing this a long time ago.
i been skating for 12-13 yrs now. i know that most of the people that post on this board will quit. i just know that from experience
June 16th, 2009 at 12:54 pm
my opinion… this, and any other video until now can’t catch the real flow… but…looks good… the idea was really good…well done.
so… i think anyone of us, have a special feeling about this… i mean…only who lives this shit can know what is this really about. Adrenaline is a perfect droug… and this sport makes me some kind of addicted…
if my body handle… i’ll do this for a long time yet (13 years now)… and seens like, everytime is getting better…
June 16th, 2009 at 11:53 pm
wait, hawke trackler lied. he said if you ask a rollerblader why he does what he does you wont undertand. but this spells it out perfectly
