I never said the edit sucks. Thats not the case. It has great filming, great style, but easy tricks. Dumbed down skating and landing with your head looking down like your the shit seems to sell, you kids eat it up so more power to him. I can’t believe more people don’t see this is how it is. Just wish I could see a well produced edit w broskow pushing himself more like he used to minus the tiny skateboarder obstacles…sigh
I’m sick of these people with the whole “hammers” mentality, it’s like they are stuck in the past and can’t understand any other type of skating. If you want to see hammers so badly do them yourselves pussies, nothing is stopping you.
who got shit to say about this?? good luck getting a word in edge wise cause you know you just got a mouthful of broskows dick by watchin this. anytime you try saying anything you gonna get a squirt in yo face(aka makio tap to fakie etc…)
a style filled skillfull edit … each skater to their own… tech skaters… skaters that go big and other that have some of both… what kind of sport would it be if everybody just did it big… boaring thats what it would be… we have skaters that do, dont need our most established Pro’s killing them selves for attention :P , keep on rollin or if you havent enough dust them wheels of and dont be a passenger be the contributor.. fear less hustle more… some good ear candy will help loosen them skills waiting for you to use ;P . FUN…. go with the flow….
if it was an unkown guy in this edit, you would bash him to death.. I can understand it, hes done all the crazy shit so its ok if he does this. He probably had alot of fun doing it, but this isn’t progression.. It’s different but it isn’t progression..

look at the falls hes taken over his “career”
amateurs throw hammers to get recognition, spnosors and eventually if they are lucky earn pro status
pros advance the sport and show their personality or “style” which is product through years of skating
-the edit was fine, Im not hating on any of it…but pros advance the sport? BAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH- no one is doing anything to progress the sport. If you think “progressing the sport” is supporting corporations and trying to get little kids to buy shit then, yeah, they are “progressing the sport.” I don’t see anyone making any kind of attempt to figure out where this sport will be in 10 years…progressing the sport involves making sure it’s going to stay around, who’s doing that?
To Adam: selling shit to little kids it what keeps people interested. one edit, even with “small tricks”, that has a great style and is entertaining, can bring new people into our sport, thus, making it last 10 more years. The kids are what bring the change (progression).
Broskow is King. He’s got style that takes years to acquire and hammers that I’ve only seen a hand full of people do. That top soul 540 out was old school but still ill.
To Adam: I kind of agree with you. There are a lot of Amateurs out there that tear ish up better than most of the pros. They motivate people to step up their abilities out in the streets and skate parks but companies like Valo put a good face to rollerblading and bring it to peoples attention world wide. That’s definitely helping the sport stick around for the long haul.
Dude, just cause hammers are hard for you doesn’t mean they are for Broskow. Hes been there done that, now he IS pushing himself, doing unthinkable tricks, most of em switch. Just cause you are scared to do hammers and CAN’t do em doesn’t mean Alex is scared of em. That shot is soooooooooo old for him. Now he just progresses rolling, instead of recyling it.

its not the fact of not having hammers. It just sucks to see all theese great skaters turn into hipsters and skate small shit to god awful music. Hammers are what got all of us into rollerblading in the first place. If bull shit like this were out when i started i garuntee i would of laughed in rollerbladings face and never began skating. Dont do something just because its trendy………Fuck all of you hipsters , i hope you die slow
Yo what in the fuck by your defintion is a “hipster”? Someone who changes over time? Wears different clothes and doesn’t do things the exact same over the course of their lives? Ever heard of individualism? Style? Culture?
i dont get why this edit is about as good as Alexs section in Valo4life when they filmed for the dvd over 2 years and broskow made this edit in what? 1 month? probably… just wondering :D no criticism
but yeah some more hammers from valo team riders would be nice..there are just a handful of hammers in valo4 mostly by bailey and tassone
compared to valo2 the style and filming technique has increased but the spots definately got smaller … so just SOME more hammers would have been nice… would have been the cream topping to make the dvd almost perfect :D
Our sport and the people in it is a dying breed pro’s our put in there position because there what represent our sport. Everyone is intitled to there own style, change is bound to happen in anything but instead of us hating on it and putting it down witch in turn will not progress blading what so ever. why not be positive and appreciate what we are doing. honestly whats it matter what he is wearing or how big or small the things he skates are one thing i know people who dont understand blading understand that alex has style and makes it look good. ill be honest i love hammers here and there to but alex has nothing to prove he made it. pro skates, sponsers, skater of the year. how many people on here can say they have accomplished that. no one. rollerblading is becoming so segregated by style and style of skating why cant we all appreciate the we love on thing and thats. ROLLERBLADING.
To what Grant C. said:
Yeah or they finally find what suits them best the way they like it and stick with it. I got nothing against small or big clothes (although where I’m from most girls don’t go for that wannabe thug type shit) and neither should you. You know if that edit was the exact same except he was wearing different style clothing and was someone else you would be like “holy shit, that last trick was crazy!”, or “that 540 out of that kink curvy rail was steezed out!”.
Don’t even bullshit yourself, you know that’s the truth, and that goes for all of you who say broskow is lame or a “hipster” or anyone else who dresses a similar way and does out of the ordinary tricks or obstacles.
You all love him when he skated details and wore sweatpants.
Oh and don’t try to come back saying “No, it’s because those tricks were on 6 inch ledges and he is always trying to look so cool while blading!” or something of that nature.
That last trick was innovative and the spot selection was dope.
dude i dont understand…
how do you people think that is good? that is barely decent. broskow dissapoints more and more after every edit. look at what this kid is making money off of? no wonder this sport gets laughed at.
Somehow you guys manage to hate on greatness. How can you hate on anyone who does a gap 270 out to fishbrain stall on a rail. I’m sure if any of you that hated on this edit tried that shit you would clip the rail and end in failure aka Broken body.
Broskows years of experience shows with how much control he has with his switch and regular tricks. The control shows when he can spin out of everyone one of those tricks flawlessly
You need to jump off this guys dick. Broskow can skate good but when has ever done anything original or new? He always jumps on the fucking trendy bandwagon. Weather it was wearing b-ball shorts or skinny jeans. He is a marketable skater. People like Sagona, Dunkle, Kevin Yee, Erik Burke, Jon Elliot, DL, MIcha Yeager..etc have brought style and culture to our sport and it’s been skaters like them who have come out with new innovative tricks. Skating won’t progress until people learn the difference between a skater who is “stylish” and one who is “fashionable”. This section was good in fact it was excellent, but it wasn’t progressive.
If I had to predict what would be in a Broskow section nowadays, I would say, “curbs, 540, fakie 540, and toe rolls.” Well, at least there weren’t any toe rolls. :D
the makio stall was sick but he already did something similar in 4LIFE, and face it, it’s not as hard as transferring rails, jumping kinks, doing a forwards 720 over a STAIR SET, fakie misty flip off a 5 stair, fakie 720 off a RAIL, or some of the other things the younger pros are doing these days.
anyone that hates on this edit needs to understand that rollerblading is about so much more than hammers and death-blading. if you can do any of the tricks in the edit and make them look as amazing, talk all the shit you like when you post them of yourself.
making easy small no-difficulty tricks look clean is not hard at all. Takes more skill to make hard tricks look clean. Broskow quit impressing me years ago, just posting bc it annoys me kids think this is good
some fot hose tricks are fucking hard not easy at all.
your easy side is the medspin makio everything else is solid and perfect.
your a jealous skater who thinks doing spins on to handrails is amazing!
i know so many non rollerbladers who love this guy. hes steezing.
