Ucon needs your feedback

quoting a mail from Jochen Smuda:
Hey guys,
right now we are improving our Jeans cuts. I think this time we proved that we are able to do really good denim, but there is always something which can be better.
We would really appreciate to get some feedback from skaters who bought the new jeans. Either the Silhouette (JS1 or JS2) or the regular line (J1, J2 and J3). Buttons or zip fly, pockets too small, material not good??, too wide, too tight??
Whatever you can tell us, we really take your feedback very serious. Our goal is to deliver you the perfect denim. And we want to work on that with you. We choose this way here to involve as many skaters as possible.
Thanks a lot for your help.
-Jochen Smuda.

I know what I like and thats reallytight and superstretchy so you just have freedome to do everything :)

I have JS1, and i must say i didn’t expect them to be that tight, i hoped that they are the same as last lines Silhouette stretch jeans.
So at my opinion 2007 years Silhouette stretch jeans were the perfect UCON jeans!

yea drop the prices.

I’ve had 1 pair of ucon jeans but i dont think i’ll get another. My problem with them is that they make jeans for people who like tight and slim fitting jeans but not regular or baggy jeans. Plus the ones which say they are regular or baggy still tend to be fairly slim lol.
I think i have the js3′s or something, they are slightly baggy but the length of the jeans is so short! i have to wear them round my ass in order for them to cover my ankles!

same prob with J3′s as Jordan stated above..on the contrary J2s i have are too long..both pairs are from 2007 line i think

If you want to know,
No button fly,
No skin tight shit
NO CHEAP DENIM
Yes baggy fit with tapered legs.
I don’t buy clothes from skateshops because that stuff costs too much to skate in and it’s not known enough to wear out. Make some jeans that can compete with the $25 deals that you can find in almost every mid-priced clothing store while looking good and maybe the average skater (not the mommie and daddy paying the bills type) will buy your stuff.

I think you guys should make different fits and offer all the different fits. Everybody likes their jeans differently some like there jeans to be regular fit, others slim fit, and some skinny fit, just to mention a few. Another thing you guys should do is offer the pants at a more affordable rate between $25 and $35 and you guys shouls also offer your jeans in smaller sizes since the people in this industry that actually have money are the parents of lil’ kids between the ages of 10-15….

personally, i like mine very slim in the leg, with a SMALL bootcut or taper at the bottom of the leg.
oh, and PLEASE make them in size 34×34, I can’t STAND having to buy big in the waist to have the length i need.

i can get same quality jeans from primark £8 or if i want some good one for going out in il go spend money one high quality denim.

we need some button fly’s that’s a fact.
I have a 2007 silhouette and the zipper broke, repaired it and the jeans stays good even after a lot of street sessions.
I bought a new Silhouette from the new line and it broke after just one session…..really…i can show you some pics if you want but it pissed me off. I liked Ucon so i dont get why the stitching all of a sudden seems to be bad.

Guys, thanks a lot for the feedback. Honestly, this is really very useful feedback. We just wrote all the points down and we will just put them to the corrections for the new 09 jeans. There is always a way to make it better, so if you got some more opinions, likes or dislikes, just post them here. We are very thankful for the good feedback we get here.
thanks

i think the price is ok for 100 you are getting quality not qty… but it is always good if you vary your price range for jeans.. have some for those who dont work and then the rollers that are older and work… in shop the standard price is from 40AUD – 100 then you have the high end jeans for 200-300AUD which is on the expensive side.

I forgot to mention that the cut is really really nice.
And that on the 08 one, it isn’t the fly that is broken but the stitching on the back where the belt/backpocket part is stitched together.
Thx

The good thing in you collection is the choice (cut, color).
Personnaly i like J2 for chilling or J3 for skating, but this time i thought the cut is a bit too tight (especially for the J3) and the sizing is strange, i mean i bought size M jeans last years and this time i must buy a size L or XL…?
January 18th, 2009 at 12:58 am
Oh and please make a grey J2 (like the J3 09), i like this colour so much !
