Taig Khris: M6 Mega Jump @ the Eiffel Tower (Paris)
As announced on this post, Taig Khris will drop from the Eiffel Tower on May 28-29-30 2010. This is a 40m drop from the first floor, Taig will then land on a 25m high quarter pipe.
M6, a french TV Channel is sponsoring the event. You can check the official website at m6mobilemegajump.fr. There is a video section showing the preparations of the jump (french language).

I’m sure sure everyone saw the green “thingie” at the end of the quarter.That green stuff is a giant airbag ; there are not enough space to do it another way. When landing on the Quarter Pipe, Taig will be at 70 km/h to finally reach 100km/h and then crash on the airbag (1 kilometer (km) = 0.6 mile).

How is he going to slow down ? The flat landing part is awfully short. The cushion wall seems too small for the speed he will get. This looks more like a slide than a ramp.

How gay, this type of rollerblading should just roll over and die.
I usually wouldn’t be that opinionated or aggressive to something but seriously this is the type of thing that gives us a dodgy reputation as a sport, not that it matters.
There are streets for street skating obviously everywhere and thats why it rules, theres almost no advantage. This skating requires you to have a massive ramp and loads of money, it’s fucking weak…

I’m not sure a lot of skaters would do that drop. To give you an idea about what is a 40m drop, just do to the pool and reach the 10m diving board. The drop will be 4x higher. Haha.

You have people like Danny Way, Travis Pastrana, that do these type of stunts and they aren’t lame. They are both icons and making good money and promoting their sport at the same time.

alors la je c’est pas ce que ca va donné ce truc sortie de je ne c’est ou .Déjà que ce mec il est sur la 1 a survivre sur une ile a bouffé du poisson pourries et chopé des cloque entre les couille .il ramasse il a un style vraiment de l’autre monde.wouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu adriii le mec il dort avec les miette des chips et les rollers sur le lit et les mouchoir collant de béarnaise sous l’oreille il faut arrêté les baggy vraiment trop large crasseux. vive la wok cuisine bijoux avec légumes et viande blanche a volonté .la stagiaire des serres de la madonne a du charme certes elle doit avoir une haleine parce que boire du coca light avec ca clope et après avoir mangeais et surtout pas être lavé les dents bonjour la goulue.Cyril lui c’est la blonde tracheuse qui bouffe a 8h le pain au chocolat avec juste 20 pour cent de matiére grasse le muffins a 10h 3 café crème avec 2 sucres a 12h le mc do et allé un triple cheese burgeur bien gras et le final un kit kat a 16 h tressssssssssssssssss mauvaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis il a dit pierre betty. It’s ironic that the last time I saw Taig was like 96 or 97 at the ASA World Championships in Florida (you know, the one Roadhouse won?) and at that same event, Chris Edwards jumped out of a crane into the vert ramp! That was pretty scary to watch, but the crowd went nuts when he landed it!!!
I think it’s really cool that the French government cares enough about rollerblading to let Taig use the Eiffel Tower of all things! Seriously, if you let your most famous national monument be used by rollerbladers, your country must really support rollerblading!!!

Why? I mean really, why? Isn’t Taig in his thirties or so? Does he have a family? IMO NO amount of media exposure is worth dieing over. I’ve been to the Eiffel Tower and when you’re looking up at it it doesn’t seem so big, but when you’re on the edge of it looking down…that’s a different story. I don’t think we should keep pushing the envelop like this. Rich Taylor, Josh Waggoner…how many more people do we have to keep losing before enough is enough?
