Pow-Wow 2014: Edit by Ian Copp

March 2014: The 8th Panhandle Pow-wow went exceedingly well. Lots of good times, good people and David Sizemore won his 4th Pow-wow. Unstoppable.

Thanks to Blake and everyone involved in making Pow-wow everything it is. If you see me next year make me put on sunscreen. Filming this edit gave me skin cancer, so you’re welcome. And yeah filming is pretty ‘homie cam’ and I didn’t turn off steady shot for fisheye… – Ian Copp.

Pow-wow 2014 by Southern Scum

Sadly enough, the regular van trip was not orchestrated. But as you can tell from the edit above, Southernscum made it to Pow-wow, and we were in full affect.

Too many memories were created, and it was nothing but sunshine the whole trip. Between the camping, the conversations, the water, and the blading, we had such a good time we stayed longer than planned. The Pow-wow is always an inspiring experience, no matter how you get your taste.

One thing is for sure, the southern region of the United States offers a contest once a year in Jacksonville Florida. Just as southernscum, it is a vertebrae in a well oiled machine that is churning towards the top. There isn’t anyone, or anything that can to stop us. We will continue to push forward, continue to rise.

Thank you to Blake Taylor and The Pow-wow crew, for another amazing weekend. Thank you to all the new friends for allowing each of us to get to know each of you. Thank you KONA sk8park for bending the rules for a few hundred skaters. Thank you to all the other companies that ran booths and showed SS so much respect and love. More than anything, thank you to all the competitors, when it became show time, you each turned up.

Catch you next year Florida.Southernscum.com.

Pow-wow 2014: Coverage by Ez Goezy

Sunday, March 23rd, 2014

The Florida Panhandle Pow-wow took place march 14-16, 2014. Here is a look at this great competition that takes place every year in beautiful sunny Florida.

Pow-Wow 2014

This year the Pow-wow offered more than just 1 competition, they had inline-x, stall the wall, best trick, pro/am. It was more like a festival than just going to your regular competition.

Tapping around at the Pow-wow 2014 with Razors

Sunday, March 23rd, 2014

Over the weekend of March 14-15-16, 2014, the Razors crew gathered in Jacksonville, FL for the annual Pow-Wow Pro/AM Competition at Kona Skatepark.

The weekend incorporated several contests, camping, and debauchery. All the makings for a great time. Kona is a one-of-a-kind park to anyone on wheels, a perfect venue for great things to happen.

Pow-Wow is no exception. The edges of the street course were littered with random obstacles, and the dudes took full advantage of the offerings. Check out the Rzrs fan screwing around before and after the comp. Bonus section featuring a local Jax Beach ledge spot. Chopped and Screwed by Jeph Howard.

Featuring (in order of appearance): Shane McClay, Chemi Simiyu, Jon Fromm, Howie Bennett, Sammy Chase, Steven Tat, Jeph Howard, Kenrick Chiocca, Ray Kronenburg & Jarrod Banning.
