On March 12-15, 2015, Kona skatepark opened its doors and gates to the annual gathering of our kind.
For four days, rollerbladers from all around the world, pitched tents and made Kona a temporary home.
Lucky for us, Atlanta’s own, Brandon Anderson was among the crowd, camera in hand. He snagged the event full force. From that footy, he captured some extremely close up moments. Laid out for you, next to the sweet riffs of Wolfmother.
Brandon, we can’t thank you enough for stepping up and hammering out such a memorable jam.
Thank you Uncle Blake, for believing in rollerblading. Thank you for giving us all a reason to travel to Florida once a year. Cheers to all hose who continue to believe in the rise.
Thanks to Blake and everyone involved in making Pow-wow everything it is. If you see me next year make me put on sunscreen. Filming this edit gave me skin cancer, so you’re welcome. And yeah filming is pretty ‘homie cam’ and I didn’t turn off steady shot for fisheye… – Ian Copp.

The crew journeyed down to Jacksonville, FL for the 2014 Pow-wow. Thanks to Blake Taylor for throwing the raddest thing in blading. Main Camera: Quintin Lamb and Taylor Popham. Additional filming by Zach Tierce and Julian Mire.
In order of appearance: Ray Kronenberg, Zach Tierce, Cody Porche, Quintin Lamb, Taylor Kobryn, Montre Livingston, Joey Chase, Jeph Howard, Julian Mire, Steven Tat, Dave Lang, Daniel Henderson, Brian Weis, Chris Smith, Kevin Lapierre and David Sizemore.
Sadly enough, the regular van trip was not orchestrated. But as you can tell from the edit above, Southernscum made it to Pow-wow, and we were in full affect.
Too many memories were created, and it was nothing but sunshine the whole trip. Between the camping, the conversations, the water, and the blading, we had such a good time we stayed longer than planned. The Pow-wow is always an inspiring experience, no matter how you get your taste.
One thing is for sure, the southern region of the United States offers a contest once a year in Jacksonville Florida. Just as southernscum, it is a vertebrae in a well oiled machine that is churning towards the top. There isn’t anyone, or anything that can to stop us. We will continue to push forward, continue to rise.
Thank you to Blake Taylor and The Pow-wow crew, for another amazing weekend. Thank you to all the new friends for allowing each of us to get to know each of you. Thank you KONA sk8park for bending the rules for a few hundred skaters. Thank you to all the other companies that ran booths and showed SS so much respect and love. More than anything, thank you to all the competitors, when it became show time, you each turned up.
