Thanks Jelle (forums).
The rumors are true! A new rollerblading game is being developed as we speak.
This next-gen rollerblading game is designed to feel like you’re actually skating in terms of movement and look. Every trick, no matter how insane or difficult will look very convincing. We want you to feel the thrill of rolling outside while playing this game, inside.
The game includes a wide variety of styles: from big tricks and creative skating to parkour influences.
In order to achieve this convincing style that mirrors real-life skating, we went into a professional motion capture studio and captured as many skate movements as we could think of. These moves were performed by an experienced skater and were directed by another experienced skater. Every subtle nuance of the feet will be visible on your screen.
With the use of 3D scanning technology we’re creating very life-like characters within the game. We intend to capture the individual looks and styles of the most influential bladers in our community, so that it will feel as if you are skating as them.
The game will not focus on silly missions like e.g.: collect as many skate-DVD’s or bearings as you can find or other activities that take away the focus from enjoying the pure movement of skating and we are building a huge city for you to explore while doing just that.
Of course you won’t always have to do the exploring by yourself, the game will also feature an online multiplayer option where you can have kick-ass blading sessions with your friends or just cruise through the landscape together. So no matter the weather, rain, snow, unbearable heat you get to roll with your friends from the comfort of your home.
Here’s your chance to try out tricks you haven’t had the guts to do in real life. The possibilities are endless.
The game will be released for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
Development is advancing really fast so expect to see some in-game footage within the next few months!
