Ben Harmanus: Barcelona Edit by Mathias von Gostomski

Whilst staying in Barcelona for January for my Winter escape (which worked out really well btw.) Ben Harmanus visited twice, once with his girlfriend and once on his own.

During his first stay we didn’t really get to film anything, but when he visited for the second time, he got shit done.

He was really motivated and destroyed every spot we went to. He always came up with tricks nobody else would. And he is 33.

Ben Harmanus got himself a new Pro Skate from Adapt Brand. Thank you Benni.

One day I was too hungover to attend the session but thankfully Marc Moreno covered for me and filmed some more sick clips, thanks Marc. – Mathias von Gostomski.

Roskilde Festival

quoting Mathias von Gostomski:

Last year i was allowed to visit probably the best Festival in the world, the Roskilde Festival in Denmark.

10 days so crazy, you can’t even imagine. We tried to capture at least a tiny bit of its spirt by making a little documentary. Thanks to Bo Elstrup, Johannes Jacobi, Alexander Schneider, Bart Laubsch, Philip Preuss.

Roskilde Festival 2011 30 June – 3 July (warm-up from 26 June). About 170 bands. 75000 people. Erik Bailey & Alex Broskow will be there. Park Schedule.

PARTY: Mathias von Gostomski

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

Mathias von Gostomski

This is the Mathias von Gostomski bonus profile of PARTY. Back in 2007 and 2008 Mathias was still living in Munich, so I had the pleasure/torture to film with him a lot. The part was added to the bonus of PARTY because most clips were shot without the 35mm adapter and I did not want to have a changing look in the main movie.

Filmed in Munich, Berlin, Ruhrpott, Barcelona and a few clips from his trip to california (maybe Ogger filmed those, I don´t know?). Shot with canon XH-A1, sometimes with the Redrock Micro and Canon FD lenses. Colour corrected with Magic Bullet Looks. The song used is “Grounds for Divorce” by Elbow.

Amusing additional info: Since Matti moved away to live on the sunny side of the world, I finally skate a lot more because now there are sessions on small and harmless spots (including tiny shitty german skate parks). Eventhough I really enjoy rolling around, I still miss one of my best friends. Farewell down under!
