In 2006, many of rollerblading’s most influential individuals were interviewed for the documentary Barely Dead. Six years later, these interviews provide intriguing commentary on the growth and progression of rollerblading and blade culture.
While fashions may have changed and companies have come and gone, the words spoken by these blading leaders capture the many complex nuances of rollerblading life. Watch for some rollerblading history from the recent past that we all experienced together. Visit Oneblademag.com.
EB.AM promo by Ivan Narez featuring new Amall team riders: Erik Bailey, Alex Broskow, Victor Arias and Brandon Smith.
All aspects of this Valo EB.AM Denim skate were designed by the incredibly particular in-house aMALL design team and finally remastered and produced by Valo.
The skate is featured in both black and blue color ways. The EB.AM skin is constructed with a full ultra thick and durable cotton denim, that can be dyed, bleached and washed to your likings.
The boot is completed with a extra thick matching EB liner, a custom printed and riveted genuine leather back pull strap and the NEW Dedicated flags patch sewn onto the heel while the regular AM tongue tag takes the helm up front.
This special edition EB skate is the 5th collaboration project brought to you by The Valo Brand and Aggressivemall. We have once again paired up with the best companies in the business including Eulogy and Ground Control to bring people the best in quality and aesthetics.
To start this project out we decided to move production of the EB. AM. LE skate to Italy to ensure the highest quality in production and materials. Next we moved on up from the team version skate and with Erik Bailey’s permission we were granted the use of his his skate design and name.
Ultimately we decided to take a step back and put the bright colors to merely a simple highlight to bring our audience a more sophisticated look all the while making sure that the materials were on point and could be spotted as unique at just a glance.
Once our basic vision was realized we finished the skate off with several design details that only add to the skate’s overall look and feel and we think that you’ll find that the end result is a skate design that is not only stylish and timeless, but also rugged and built to take the abuse.

Frenchy Fries: Erik Bill Article
quoting Erik Bill:
My involvement with video is another classic situation, really. I started with a big old VHS-C camera and became obsessed with trying to capture the way a session felt.
I noticed as time progressed that just having the camera around was pushing my friends and me to learn things that we may not have tried without it. Obviously that’s continued and having the camera at hand is more important than ever !
I use a Canon XH-A1. My roommate recently picked one up as well and he’s learning the ropes quickly and shooting some second angles. In the past I’ve made all the typical moves with the little handycams and VX’s and all that. [...]
I skate with a mix of lifelong friends and people that I grew up admiring. Erik Bailey lives about 5 minutes from me and we skate just about everyday when he’s home.
Obviously, he’s easy to work with. I skate with everyone involved in the NDN edits. Even when we aren’t skating, the homies are usually together having fun one way or another. It’s great. There’s also a lot of buds that come to town every chance they get. [...]
