Anybody notice how every trick TJ Weber does in this video is pretty much awesome looking even today? I would love for someone to upload the 95′ or 96′ Seal Beach Classic that he won. I think in that competition he does this late 180 over a huge box that pretty much changed my life.
Other life changing OG moments: When Paul Soldano in VG 5 unleashed the first torque I ever saw.
I would love to see more old school videos by rollernews! Im sure no one is profiting off of these videos anymore and it would be a good testament to all the OG bladers and a good lesson in history to the kids.
tommy your an idiot
id love to see you skate on old school skates.
youd be sketching out all over the place, splitting rails and crying about needing more soul space.
sitting there saying there shit when there the very foundation that has inspired what you do.
dick.
haha. tommy’s reply made me laugh. i guarantee he couldnt do that shit with those skates we used to use. soul space was pretty much no existent and gettin down to the boot on royales was crazy hard
Wow this brings back memories!! I really wanted one of those “your wheels suck tee..” This was back when i had to order most things from america.. Team Paradise.
TJ Webber was a legend, he knew how important style was.
Also i remember being able to backslide like that, i think as this was the day before royale plates, we used to do them right on the boot, which was never meant for grinding, so it was a bit softer, you could really hold them out.
I wish i still had my Tarmacs. Man i don’t miss the lack of soul space though.. hah.
thew backslides are sicker than the most backslides you can see today, if you think about those damn shitty skates.
and that high frontflip was the shhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaaatttt!! so crazy
man this brings me back… thanks for putting this up rollernews… skating history!!! love it. hope u kids watch this just to get an idea of where your tricks came from. im so proud of where you youngsters took our foundation, shit is crazy now, but know your history.. much props
