Hahahaha Proline got fucking outted and rightly so, I know “proline Steve” and he’s a piece of shit, he doesn’t give a fuck about rollerblading at all, not even a little bit.
He’s a weasel that’s only pushing inline products because Ice Hockey in Wales went down the shitter and couldn’t pay for his holidays, cars and fugly mrs. and her kid.

I genuinely hope UKSkate stays running but what I’ve found over the last couple of years with them is that items are rarely in stock. For example the ‘jeans & jogpants’ section on their site only has UKSkate jogpants in, why are there no Vibralux jeans in or Ucon? I really want the some of the new Vibralux range but it’s difficult to get them unless I order from Germany but that sends postage up as well as the fact that the euro is too expensive when converted into £. The reason why they’re struggling is because they have nothing to sell with there being hardly anything instock, sort this out and perhaps they’ll see an increase is sales.

haha lewis what are you on about? sell outs? ukskate sponsors just about every scottish event they are asked to?

I kind of agree with Joel somewhat, I think that Uk skate needs to stock more of the good clothing brands that are out in rollerblading like vibralux…………….. woops I can’t think of anymore. I see the predicament, the industry is dyeing to the point whereby rollerblading shops don’t have any cool clothing brands left to even retail anymore. I think that sweatpants with shop logos on are a thing of the past, but what else can a skate shop sell clothing wise.
Maybe soon rollerblading will get that small that all the retailers them selves disappear and the brands just sell directly from the brand website, I can see The Conference starting that already with their custom colour Conference Shop thing.
It looks quite bleak so I can totally understand why Steve feels it necessary to sell skateboarding goods, money equals roof over his head at the end of the day.

We dont sell much clothing at ukskate anymore as it just doesnt sell, we just end up having to sell it all at cost price to get rid of it.
usually because rollerblading clothing brands and alot more expensive then the high street brands, and sad to say usually not as good quality, so it doesnt sell.
Recently (about 2 months ago) we bought in the new Dirt Box range and some new Jug clothing and up to now we’ve sold hardly any of it, so we just dont see the point getting it in.
December 31st, 2009 at 7:53 pm
Steve said it all, with the rapid drop in clothing sales we stayed away from stocking clothing products when the market was really bad for all businesses, we have just stock in Jug GC clothing and dirt box and we have many different wheels and custom colors for all skate customs. We are grateful for the customer feed back as its a great way for us to know what you guys want from the shop.
Have a great new year

haha if sponsoring an event is a way of geting rid of all your xxxxxxxl blue uk skate joggers that know one wants and hoodys that you cant sell because they have UKgay all over them, is sponsoring an event then your right. but i didnt say they did not sponsor scottish events, am saying the dont sponser skaters the last person they sponserd from scotland was chrissy and now he is a skateboards haha
December 31st, 2009 at 10:18 pm
So the company is gay because it does not sponsor a scottish roller and just so you know it cost £1500 to be a main sponsor of slamm jamm. Can you leave your email or facebook please Lewis.

ukskate is the shit,
if people weren’t so up their own arse about buying branded clothing there wouldnt be a problem, uk skate stock loads of hoodies and tees from smaller companies and they sold loads at the last event purely cos they looked good, all it needs is some exposure and we can push through these smaller rolling related companies and have cool wares at low cost in stock, everywhere..
think about it people…
thanks for the insight into how ukskae started though, it’s kinda cool to know

Steve’s a top man, why don’t all you bitches stop moaning, you know nothing.
I’ve only met steve a handful of times and he’s put me and a few other lads up in his shop for us to be able to skate near him a couple of times – arms wide open. He’s one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet… and he’s ALL ABOUT SKATING!.
One of the best blokes in the uk skating industry. MUCH LOVE STEVE!

The name of the company is UK skate which leads me believe the UK skate team is or should be a representation of the uk rollerblading scene. so yes i do think its GAY, there are many scottish rollerbladers that are more than suitable to represent the uk, as the uk skate team implise with there name uk skate. and what does the cost of sponsoring slam jam have to do with anything i have said? in scotland in the summer we hold monthly sessions through scotishrolling.com which we fund out of our own pockets. If this has anything to do with putting money in the uk scene then we do our part to. if you want to get in contact with me you can through http://www.scottishrolling.com i am more then happy to discuss this further

UKskate has been around forever, and most likely will stay around forever through determination and some market savvy.
In the big picture of the uk scene and rollerblading overall, there is nothing wrong with ukskate due to it’s support and proactivity within our industry.
