They need to put a real buckle on there instead of the bullshit velcro strap. Xsjado strap replacement kits are proof that velcro is a bad Idea.

The era maybe is the cheaper beacause os the frame ( is the old one), and have no V cut…
the stilo and tribe, are the same, in diferent collors with v cut and the new frame…

people don’t know understand they must appreciate a brand like rollerblade regardless if you think the skate’s shitty. this is the same reason brands like senate, sixwonsix, hyper, etc get shown no love. my older brother taught me how to skate and his first pair were RB lightnings. i support the old skool and for all you know those things might skate amazing
franky and farmer left rb because they weren’t getting paid as much as broskow and they felt they weren’t marketed as well. broskow straight up got fired cuz he asked for 4 pro skates, and at that time rollerblade couldn’t afford to have a shima-esque skater with 2 pro boots every year.
in conclusion. rob g is the fucking man and those prototypes look tasty.

for South Bronx the whole team was fired and broskow never asked for more skates thats not how pro skates work broskow was told he didnt get along with the rest of them team witch was bull shit he stated this a daily bread mag from a while back
Rollerblade didnt want to pay riders any more thay wanted to start a new flow system witch they did and did well and put more money into the skates
and what rollerbalde did was good idea they just went about it in the wrong way and they keep doing it jeff D but alittle info for some is that there is a contract and when that is up they can decide weather or not to renew that contract they chose not with jeff cant balme them for that its bussiness i think they should have kept him on cut some one else but thats how things go

To everyone who thinks that these skates are like Salomons… YOU ARE CORRECT!! What happens is, when a company goes out of bussiness, or stops producing a particular product ( that would be Salomon). Then that company sometimes sells the moulds to other companies that might want to use them. This skate is the same mould as the Salomon widebody skates( just with a few little changes, and some TRS logos) The cuffs are the same, the boot is the same, and the souls are pretty damn close to the same thing. The only real difference from a Salo widebody is the frames, and the buckle. Didn’t any of you guys see the Roces skate that came out last year? It was also an old Salomon boot, just without the widebody attachment, I guess some of you missed it, because nobody skates ROCES anymore.(Do they even have a team anymore? Olly and Alex are both gone so whats the deal?) I’m surprized that people havn’t figured it out, that these are just new versions of Salomon. They’re not just similar, They ARE THE SAME. It’s pretty obvious.

Uhm. Yes they are the same as Salomons. You want me to look at them? Well I am, and that is how I drew the conclusion that these are salomons. This design has been around for ages, It started as the old Rollerblade boot design. Then somehow, Salomon started using this boot. After awhile, Salomon realized that they needed a royal groove/ backslide area, so instead of designing a new boot or soul system, they decided to make a big ugly soft plastic monstrosity, that just screws in under the old souls.( I know that was really like 5 sentences. I like to use commas, sue me). As we all know, Salomon quit the gAME like some bitches. Last year, Roces releast this same boot, minus the widebodies and the unneeded buckle. For some reason, nobody remembers that though. (which is funny because it was the only “new” design to come from Roces, since the Graal a few years back.) And now, the idiocy has come full circle, because RB is using this boot once again. I really don’t see how anyone can look at this boot, and not see a Salomon widebody. Do you really think that the buckle makes it look like a completely different skate?

I really don’t see how any self-respecting roller can still support TRS. They don’t do anything for us. They barely ever sponsor anything to do with aggressive skating, or give deserving pros a pro skate. RB skates aren’t even very good either. They are completely heavy and stiff. Not to mention that their liners are completey thin made from garbage material. They have their heads shoved so far up their ass that they won’t ever use anybody els’s frames,liners, or wheels. USD and Deshi use Kizer frames, UC wheels, and sifika liners. I know that doesn’t mean anything, because they are all conference companies. But Razors and Remz both use GC frames,an array of different company wheels, aswell as a few different company’s liners, eventhough they make frames, liners and wheels themselves. RB are not about the rolling community, they are about using garbage products to maximise profit. If you love this sport, then why would you give your money to a company that makes poor quality products, and doesn’t do anything to help your sport. I personally skate REMZ. I’m not a huge fan of Valo or NIHM. But if I had to switch from Remz, I would gladly spend top dollar on a pair of used NIHMS or VALOS (skater owned), before I would skate a free pair of brand new RB’s.

I hope RB provides the option of buying and using a top buckle instead of a strap. If you saw the prototype pic that was removed, they have made a white skate and they have protected the mid-strap. That means they’re listening to skater comments. Hopefully they don’t keep/at least improve the ugly fake shoe-top that was on prototype.
