Fun looking idea but I agree with Michael Lillo – they don’t look durable at all. Remember the 50-50 clear frames! But maybe they’ve come up with a new material to use, so that could be awesome.
Geoffrey maybe you could buy the white Trust liner and stick that in, do what you want on that =)

Awesome! best new RB’s so far. Liner looks blazing, but souls need to be redesigned so they look like part of the boot. Light as fuck tho I bet, without any buckle! Dice

I would def buy this skate. I really dont know why people have such hate towards rollerblade as a company, rob g and tom hyser seem to be good people and the skate itself is pretty nice itself. That soulplate slides like butter as well.

the idea of a transparent boot is not a bad one.
the idea of a colourful liner and strap is not.
the ‘addition’ of a soul plate is ridiculous and looks stupid, the salmon addition soul was so ridiculous and this is the same deal. HOWEVER – it is nice to have a fully replaceable soul.

The look of the RB soul plates grow on you if you have a pair. Granted they could do with a bit of a reshape. Thankfully the skate nothing like salomon wide bodies i did two tricks on wide bodies when i got them, took em off and threw them over the fence. The soul plates on the RB skate so well and i have so much more feeling when i skate again. The estilo have a transparent boot. I like these. as long as the velcro strap holds tight like the top one i dont mind the change.

aslo has anyone thought about the potential of dying a transparent skate. What ever colour you dye them will show through from the inside so when the get worn the colour should hopefully still come through.

Actually it is the RB Swindler/Dirk/Chocolate boot that this boot is based from. These are kind of cool looking but I don’t really like the way the new RB’s (or any for that matter) skate.

I think mid-straps are important but (with the exception of Xsjado) most don’t work very well. I need a lot of support for my bad ankle, and mid-strap support helps. While this is a fitness skate, all of Rollerblade’s new models don’t have buckles at the ankle, and I don’t believe the strap can provide enough support. I have used Point 8′s and didn’t find very little additional midstrap support compared to Broskow 2′s.

reminds me of A TRIBE CALLED QUEST, and thats a really good thing. But some how I could NEVER see myself skating them. Sorry RB, I’ll stick to watching Rob Guerrero skate these, and love it, yet never step foot in them.
