gotta love the mature children on this forum. how is it that companies like deshi and usd can take some chances with a new mold, but razors cannot. I think this backwards thinking led shima to producing his own skate. I am not saying that skate companies should re-invent the wheel, they should open themselves up for greater innovation.
and for toe-bee… you are not as tough as you think you are, so spare us the WWF talk.

…hm….the cult and gen appeal a lot more to me…gotta say they didn´t actually take the best parts of each model to form this hybrid. But that´s all just about the design. We´ll have to wait and see how they ride!

I gotta admit, I expected it to look a bit less…. genesys, but if it’s as solid as a gen, with better souls and is lighter, sounds like a winner. Even more so if you combine it with some F1 frames, v-cut cuffs and liners.

I think they look good. I reckon in a few models time they’ll nail even more. I can already envision a version of this with a soft top like the old shima 2’s. Do it Razors, you know it makes sense…

They would look dope with the remz cuff on there. People will change their minds when you seen customs on Online shops. Their will be some nice setups of this skate.

Hhm, I see the lack of flow in the design, they might be good skates, but not as good looking as expected. Some lines and shapes just don’t do it for me…sorry, not impressed yet.

i was expecting something bit more ergonomic, it’s as if razors don’t think about the actual shape of the foot at all. these look just as chunky and lose as genesis. i thought they were gonna make something that would actually bennifit your skating.

I don’t think you could pass judgement without skating them.
Skates like a Genesys but lighter and slimmer?…that does it for me!
I think they ARE more ergonomic hence why they are slimmer. Plus the wrap around soul will improve the rigidity and therefore the speed/responsiveness of the skate.
EVERYONE who has skated them has said they are the best skates they’ve ever had. Can’t wait to find out if it’s true!

The problem with all the groms is that they want to roll around in jordans. The new razors are lighter than most hard boot skates out today [except maybe m12’s].

Not a bad skate. Not super flashy deshi super moon boot style, but a more toned down sleeper skate, you cant cater to everyones tastes. As for performance only time will tell, but it seems promising.

I don’t understand what people want from skates anymore.
Personally I think this is a great redesign. The souls are a good size, the backslide is more solid, it’s lighter, they innovated with the cut out bottom, and it’s slimmer. To me it’s nearly a perfect skate. I’ve been getting tired of seeing skates come out with freestyle frames and huge ping pong paddle souls, how could you possible miss a trick?
It’s been great to see innovation from companies like xsjado , deshi, and remz, but razors have always just been good solid skates, and I don’t look to them for crazy redesigns.
Every time I eat soup I don’t think, “Damn I’m tired, of spoons someones needs to innovate!” Somethings are just done developing.

I think this skate design has really good intentions, and it looks slick too.
I hate all these comments comparing it to previous skates, its a skate, its going to look like other skates, just like a cow looks like other cows!
If you want a skate that looks like an apple, then hey go produce it and good luck with the whole thing!

if you’ve watched the making of the aragon 2 on youtube
you’ll know that the way the backslides and the souls line up makes switch-ups smoother and easier
and because your foot is closer to the frame, everything is easier to control. you don’t move your skate, you move your foot if that makes sense.
they are fuckin awesome skates, i’ll no doubt get a pair in the future

…people are so disappointing. Razors is obviously about performance not design. IF you want design check out Rollerblade, Valo, Deshi, or Remz. But if you want solid performamce there’s Xsjado, USD (well they’re somewhere in the middle) and forever now Razors. They’ve always done what they’ve done with performance in mind to make SKATING better. They are core. Looking good will always be a customization thing winning over a stock decision. For the groms who hate the skate or find the LOOK unimpressive nice judging a beautiful book by its cover. Please remember the reasons you are skating in the first place and the new things you want with your skates. You know where to look for designs. I know where to look for performance. For the guys who defended this skate and its company much respect. You have the patience and the experience to say whether a skate is great or not and there’s no need to simply look. I like what I am seeing but I anticipate the ride even more. Really anxious to learn if that new boot mold concept will stand up against all other ideas out of Razors idea box for a while. Laters.

the new souls and cut out bottom of the boots are really sick. and are definatly innovative.
skating is not s damn fashion show. but i do agree they are somewhat plain looking, and they could have spent a bit more like on the aesthetics. they went for a safe look.

they look a bit unfinished, they’d be way cooler if they took some time to put in details like those on the gen soul inserts. they disappear after the first session but make the product in the box look way better.

well the razor cuff has always been amazing so its no point changing it,
the gens i found were abit wide and they have made them more like the cult, the backslide plate has been made bigger so you can go big without having to make a bigger grove, i have always found gens to be amazing for cess slides and they have now made them straight so you can have more control, got the jugs in there and the boot have been made lighter so its easy to get over them big gaps/steps or get on to them hugh rails/ledges…
and they have made it so you can buy just soul plate incerts saves alot of money if you go thru soul plates like me
i’m now skating xsjados again coz the groves on them are amazing and they feel so light coz of the heel lock and toe strap but i am thinking of going back to razors when these babys come out :D

This is a SICK skate. I’m getting it the first day it comes out. I wonder if theres gunna be more colors though, cuz if there will be i think i could wait a bit longer to get them.
