Kinda don’t know what to say to that edit. Great to see Omar back on blades again after the years of vanishing, but very repetitive, same flip here, neg fish on wall rail here, with a few sleepers thrown in there (like the zero sit fish). Idk. The slowmo and cut jump for a fakie 540 off a curb? What?
But respect for holding it down still man. Still got it, and all your negatives. FYI groms, if you don’t know, he was one of the originals moving the negative movement. Back when pros would hate on you for doing them.
was really looking forward to this. im going to put it down to the editing making it look erm not very good.
and then seeing the same trick 3 times from differemt angles… first times like wow second time like ok 3rd time MEH! but always nice to see a OG
That was fresh! I wish you groms would start showing some respect. Omar is oldschool USD from the Brain Fear Gone era of blading. One of the first skaters to explore negative grinds and he has pro products under his belt.
Its time you kids started learning your roots because you all sound pretty ridiculous. None of these negative comments above could possibly come from someone who knows their history or has been skating atleast a decade.
How- dare – you-, fuck pussies calling Omar a grom. go watch his section from mindgames words. Fucking kids who don’t even know. Omar, still one of the best, living legend so have some fucking respect you twats

The kids don’t know…or you don’t know? Omar’s section from Words eh??
Fairly certain that Omar is the first rollerblader I ever saw do soul to 360 topsoul on a rail.
In 2000 or 2001 or so. That was fairly ground-breaking territory back then, as were all his negative tricks, as was the concept of freestyle frames, which stems from Omar and the first M-types.
Sure, this edit isn’t his finest hour and he’s capable of much more, but maybe he hasn’t had time, maybe his body is just shattered, or maybe he’s just a bit out of shape/out of form on skates. It might come back, it might not, but he’s an OG and put this edit out for free.
A lot of respect for this guy. Some of is Fruitbooter section is pretty bonkers as well. His Closer section too.
I m just happy to see he learnt one of the hardest trick on gap : Fakie misty !( but it s also the first big trick I saw in 97 by Tim Ward so ……. come back home … you dont deserve ONE- and other sponsors wich are written…
I have to say …. you had better give your tricks to the OG blading event … but selfishness is the key to “alone-success” …
That was a respectable comeback edit. Especially compared to some of his earlier edits on here which were just sad. You can see some of the old Omar in this edit. He’s getting back to form. Def. want to see more from him soon. Just one freestyle fish for old time sake!
to see him still skate…amazing, but srsly dude…i think you trying too hard to find something new and unfortunatly you are pushing it a bit too hard. instead of trying to be creative let creativity come to you maaan!!!
most of you sound like the bitches that ruin an critisize our sport/art form. Everything has been done before…..rolling is about being free to do what ever you want to do. New fads are always going to be around but that doesn’t meen you have to hate on every lil thing. just put your sk8s on an do your own thing!!
Great to see this edit, Omar paved the way for the modern style of rollerblading along with Vinny minton and Louie Zamora. Yeah, he’s not in his prime now. but he’s still fucking sick. going for negatives on wall rails! get that wrong and its a broken ankle
Man, I guess anybody that puts an online edit up is subjecting it to unfiltered criticism-fair rules in this game. It would be nice to see some respect and decency once in a while though. The dude is older now, like many of us. The fact that he can still skate pretty good, took the time to go out and film for this section (because he obviously still likes to skate and has fun doing his thing), and then finally put it up online for free should be enough to at least get a nod of appreciation. Too much close minded opinion pandering here. Big up to Wysong this edit was hella fun to watch and I would love to see more edits from him in the near future!
If you had a section in BRAIN FEAR GONE(arguably the greatest rolling film in existence) then you could wag your tongue. Im pretty sure Omar broke his back skating a drop rail some years ago so this shit cant be touched by any of you. My dude is from OHIO and was true fishing nipple high drop rails 10 years ago. What the fuck were you doing?
Respect the roots kiddies… he was lacing true top souls before you knew how to lace your shoes. You should feel honored to have his image gracing your screen. He’d probably kill a majority of the badmouthing groms on here if he tried…
on a brighter note, good to see another familiar face back in the game.
i just wanted to say that i am watching rollerblading on cable tv right now! the title of this program: best of action sports featuring chris haffey, brian aragon, eric baily, aaron feinberg, soichiro kanashima, nick wood, stephane alfano, jeff stockwell, brian shima…fuck ya, we did guys, we fucking did it!
Ha i thought i was the only one to skate the west Angeles church parking lot rail. What’s up with those weird fence things, everything else was dope.love those spots Beverly high, looked like west high as well
He’s still got his negs… and does some nice tricks.. good to see.
I think a lot of the hand flips aren’t so good for camera, on their own they are a slow and ungraceful trick and in a line they just slow the skater right down and lose the flow..
But omar can skate any way he wants. It’s his life and his rollerblades
Someone brought up ground-breaking skating and Tim Ward. They go hand in hand, his section from 1996′s Festival of Madness shows it.
@tillet: what crazy rail to rail transfer were you talking about. In the old roced skates if you don’t wax the rail you slide really slow on down rails which is why there are a few videos out there with transfers like that. It’s not hard cause it’s right below . Still good to see tim ward videos. I thought you meant he gapped like ten feet from one trail to another
Really!! Hateing on one of the sickest skaters from his day, in all fareness it’s coming from kids that think they have the right to diss him.
Please remember rollerblading is on its arse at the moment and to see that the older guys are still trying to rep is amazing.
The kids that rep our sport by saying this shit is so funny!!!
