I would say that it is definitely better to get good unrelated content than a not updated website. It is always to the discression to the webmaster to post a news, even more if is felling are goods avout something. I personally enjoyed thoses ads.
Altought, don’t forget that there is not only one sport (Roller) on this planet and you should open your minds in that way. Skateboarding is a very fun sport similar to Skating and you should assume it and appreciate it for waht it is and waht it gave to you sport.
And be happy to get a good site like Rollernew. Please, comment positively beside doing it like you are.

I like skateboaring…a lot. But not as much as I like Rolling. That advertisement was creative and really really tight. If rolling was also mainstream it would have been really nice to see what creative things we’d be able to come up with. On an unrelated note, all haters ever do is hold everyone else who wants to achieve something, back anyways. I prefer not to do that to people or associate myself with them.

JD : yes, i agree with you, and besides people always complain about the fact that rollerblading can become mainstream, i just wanted to show that it can bring nice stuff.
I would love to see shima drawing those chalk line like on the first video, drawing 2 rails and doing mad transfers on those :)

well, it happens to be that that was not brian shima, and the sport was not rollerblading. i absolutely support skateboarding, but it is far different in practice and philosophy than rollerblading. feet attached to your wheels is fundamentally different than riding a vehicle with wheels.
if this site is just about fantsizing about commericiality then why not put up every cool sports related ad you see?
parkour is much more relevant and related to rolling, but i would even shy away from covering that on this site as a main page news item.
i think we should be celebrating what IS happening in rollerblading as opposed to fantasizing about what we could be if we were more popular.
and! i’m seriously pissed as you can see…i don’t want to see nike or whoever making money off our sport unless they contribute to it. the only god damn reason the ad is cool is so it can sell sneakers that steal business from OG skateboard shoe companies who brought their sport up before nike gave a fuck about anything outside of jock athletics… god damn it!
