Here is the FRSH (nobody cares) edit of B-nick. I won’t go through lot of lines to describe the boy, fact is that you can learn more about him on the “montage” section. We filmed this edit in two days between the Rennes rain, and added few tricks you would have seen in other edits. We really made this edit for the fun of it, the video contest was a great idea, although i think you need to see skaters in action to really dig it…
Anyway the dude is currently in california with our great colleague Freddywhite, i guess he’s buying some cap or waxing some rails by now. Don’t be jealous, he ain’t eatin no great food there ! hope you still like hiphop. Enjoy !

Dan Barnes / Steve Bruning Entry:
When we heard about Franco Shade hosting an edit submission contest we took it as our personal mission to submit the illest, and most proper edits possible.
I originally took on Dan Barnes as my subject, then after lots of successful shooting sessions, I decided to add on Steve Bruning. Both sections are fused together into one seamless edit, but for the contest I split these two sections up to meet the 90 second requirement.

All the edits were well enjoyable. I’m particularly more down with Jon Fromm with his surgical switch-ups. Mason was good too specially loved the 540 AO Soul and the 540 Makio. Kid has ups!! B-Nick was sick as hell also. Wanna see more from him!

Fuck Mason. little kid puts his shit up here all the time and is still a fuckin brat. I’ve seen every single edit. Wished I hadn’t. lukas, of course he skates more than we do and he still sucks. Reason why is cause he doesn’t fuckin work. yeah his 540 soyale was nice, and so was the 270 backslide to sweaty. Still Shitty personality, most of the tricks were super basic. Back royale to truespin soyale twice on the same rail. Why not change it up a bit on that combo. Back royale to ts soyale to back full torque to switch top acid that would’ve been nice.

Jon… WTF… Your shit was super clean and dope but damn dude 2:47 is way out of the timeline. I would love to see another one at just 90 seconds and also yeah you completely killed mason richards, I don’t know if you’re the best but you’re like my top 4. B-nick isn’t even as good as Mason’s edit he did all very basic tricks on small things except for the ao soyale on the rail and 360 soul on the small ledge. so for me my favs are

I didn’t like any of the new 3 entries. Style for one was no good on any of them.
I’m looking at this contest from a business perspective - Who has the potential in becoming the next pro rider for Franco Shade? You need to have Confidence, Professionalism, Personality, Commitment, and of course, all around great skating skills. There’s more to take into account, but we get the picture.
I didn’t like Jon Fromm, because his edit was well over 2 minutes. He didn’t follow the 90 second rule.
In my opinion, I feel that Franco Shade as a company is leaning more toward the fashion industry rather than Skating industry, but of course caters to both markets. I could be wrong, but this is my opinion. So if I am right, then you would want a skater that can easily cross over into both markets. That specific skater would have to love both Fashion & Skating. If that being the case, then once again, out of all the entries, Jeremy Soderburg fits the profile that FS is looking for.

Real Talk, why do u hate mason? he is fuckin class! his tricks are sick and his style is alright, so the only thing left u dont like is his personality, but idk how u can not like him wen its just a skate edit, uv not met him before, so u dont hav any idea wat he is actually like.
those last too guys edit was soooo sick! clean tricks and style, i thought they were realllllllly good.

There’s a video of Tyler when he was 14 doing all that stuff mason did with more style on youtube. I don’t think the man is no where near good enough to be sponsored by such a huge company but I know he’s better than mason. Jon’s stuff was nice. Too long. Jeremy actually did follow the rules. personality is and normally can be shown through your skating style that’s why the kelso’s said that our sport is the only sport that brings out our personal style and it’s depending on our whole body not just a board. or a bike but all of us to showcase that style. You can tell the way Kobe plays basketball on the court what type of person he is off the court, selfish, quick decisions, rude, hot headed is Kobe on and off the court. Same as us on or off our skates. Style says a lot about the rider.

also what other riders. a lot of other riders are doing those tricks. Feinberg was doin shit way more advanced at 14. So are a lot of guys, I know a kid who rides valos who at 14 could skate way better park then mason. This comp isn’t about showcasing a kid who’s had 9 edits on this site. It’s not about seeing your buddy on here and talkin shit. It’s about talking shit about those who don’t deserve it and finding the one who does. It’s about disecting each edit and making comments about it. If you don’t like it, suck a dick.

Jeremy is good as fuck and hes got some nice steez i wouldnt put him at Quinns skill level but if you like his style a lot i could see how you might put him before Quinn i just like Quinns better.
