Fitted DVD: Premiere + Kickstarter

This Film is featuring Ramelle Knight, Rafael Herrera, Tim Franken, Dan Breuer, Jose Henriquez and Trevor Johnson.
During the late production of this film Trevor Johnson broke his knee filming for Fitted. We wish him a speedy and healthy recovery.
My name is Joseph Perez, I have 3 kids, a wife and a deadend job and a real passion for Rollerblading. I’ve been involved with the NYC scene for about 7 years now and I don’t think I can stop.
I created the featured film “Fitted” in order to show how everyone even outside of rollerblading uses this trend of fashionable headwear to represent their style of character and where they come from. I’m not a fan of baseball but for some reason when my baseball team is winning I feel proud to be living in the town that they play for. Rollerbladers share this unity for where they come from by wearing a Fitted. I have chosen 6 of some of the most talented Rollerbladers from New York to Baltimore to New Jersey to represent Fitted.
I dream of continuing my travels to other locations/states in order to help grow a variety of footage for the video. I kindly ask you guys and everyone around the world that views this trailer, please help fund our project in order for us to release this entertaining film we call “Fitted”. Check the details here at our link on kickstarter.com for fundraising options. We appreciate your time and hope that you would want to take part.

I liked the music MUCH MORE in a Polish film intro section called “Made in Poland”.
They used the music about 2 years ago and that version KICKED SHIT like HELL, this one may be ok for someone who did not see that Made in Poland film with the music. It is ok but incomparable with Made in Poland, honestly.
That intro of Made in Poland was posted not long time ago on Rollernews as I remember. You can check it, comparw and judge yourselves.
Keep rollin

I found it to compare, I put the link to Made in Poland I was talkin about on vimeo in the HEAD on the comment.
Keep rollin

Interesting concept, good blading, and good filming. You should try to get Dalnas, I feel like he would fit [no pun intended] in nicely with the style you’re working towards. Keep it up, man!

Nice. Im really glad to see a video of skaters that arent intentionally trying to look like they havent showered for a month, stole a plad shirt from a bum, and wrapped a bandanna around their greasy head. Way to go man:-)

Hi guys! I’m glad that someone used the song as I think it is perfect for creating a touching intro :).
I am not against that you used it, I am glad, that’s all.
I don’t know why someone could thought it is bad you used it again.
Anyway
ALL THE BEST FOR YOU & YOUR FILM !!!

Im sympathetic to your cause but there is nothing original in it!!! It looks like a fresh production but where is it original? It looks like a lot of other stuff looks! even sounds like it, haha nah man u didnt see that movie thats cool but in my opinion there is not one original element in this edit!
October 26th, 2010 at 11:40 am
Name of the song please?
October 26th, 2010 at 11:41 am
of the trailer please…

Show me an edit or skate video that is original. Every video is the same. Tricks to music. Your logic is flawed. Dolly shots and crane shots have only been introduced because of the increased quality of productions today. The music selected has varied over the years. Still tricks to music. People use these elements because its enjoyable to watch. Original or not its enjoyable to watch.

quality skating actually. we need more venture entrepreneurs in rollerblading I respect your commitment and hard work.
October 27th, 2010 at 12:25 am
pppfffff trying poorly to fit the NYC/Bunique vibe with similar filming style, cuts and fonts… not to mention rob fucking dougan… shits so old man. 2004…. come on.. you cant bullshit a bullshitter
October 27th, 2010 at 2:25 am

Really? You’re basing the theme on fitted hats? REALLY? What a fucking LAME ASS concept. Fitted hats? Are you fucking serious?! Holy fuck, I’ve lost all hope for this sport. Please, do not try to distribute you’re lame ass attempt at a connection with the rest of the world. Fitted hats?! FUUUUUUUUUCK, it just makes me laugh. I have never seen or heard an inliner try to define who they are or what they do by their fitted hat. Hell, I’m gonna make a video as irrelevant and call it “Gold Teefeses”, with the premise being that since people in the south like Gold Teefeses and a few inliners have Gold Teefeses that we are all the same and you should respect us.
LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!
October 27th, 2010 at 2:47 pm
People on RollerNews are fucking lame. If all you can do is bash on the sport your involved in, then holy fuck don’t rollerblade. Bottom line, the amount of positivity in posts against hateful ones, is like 4/30.. Obviously majority rules and shows that more people will enjoy, purchase, and view this movie then not spend money or support it.
Grow the fuck up industry, take off your blouses and painted on paints, stop buying into all the stupid lil trends that happen every 3 months by dirtbag looking rollerbladers, that do nothing expect make the outside industry look down upon us, because we DO look like a bunch of bums. How appealing is rollerblading to an outsider when we look like a bunch of fuckin homeless wanna-be 80s rockstars…
October 27th, 2010 at 3:22 pm
Geeze – You want us to ditch the fashion, but support a flick that is based around a fashion item that maybe 1 in 20 people in our sport wear? Way to contradict yourself buddy.
I do agree with you, the whole “Lizard King” wanna-be thing needs to stop. If you kids don’t know who that is, google it, and find that your “style” dates back to ’80′s skateboarding.
October 27th, 2010 at 7:38 pm
You have observed it yourself, there is no original aspect to this edit! In your logic skate videos will always be tricks to music, seems kinda narrow minded to me.
Besides having a limited horizon you also dont seem to be very attentive. I never made the claim skate edits need to be original. I was merely responding to a comment made by Jo Perez where he states that he was trying to be original!
“Every video is the same!”
October 27th, 2010 at 9:11 pm
While trying to sound intelligent you messed up. Joe was trying to be original on his music selection. Every video is the same but the time and effort is what sets one from another. From the first vinny minton glide cam edit to first hd dvd or blu ray by ivan thats where you’ll find originality. The effort makes for originality. In the end its still tricks to music.
