Alex Broskow Wallpaper ; shot by Brandon Smith.
Little known fact: this was a shot we wanted to use for the covers (with the image stretching across the front and back), but logo placement and Alex’s location in the shot related to where the magazine folds made it impossible.
Oh well, your monitor don’t care — post it up!

3d animation I did a while back (like 4 or 5 years ago hehe!) of a skater doing a few tricks.
Animation is quite poor now but thought I’d youtube it anyhow. all done in Maya and comp’d together in Adobe Afx. Did want to do a more advanced version of this but didn’t get any spare time.
A few years ago I did a skating animation that was quite popular. It got a few nice comments on here and it seemed to go down well with alot of skaters.
Anyhow I decided it would be fun to return to a similar project seeing as I’ve been working as a character animator for the last couple of years, and see how I tackle a similar piece this time around. I think my animation skills are a fair bit better than the first one I did but anyhow I’ll let viewers decide :)
The piece is twice as long as the last one and i tried to do some shots where the character would go from one trick into another or make it look like it was filmed by a friend in places so there are no fancy camera motions.
The project was animated & rendered in maya and edited in Adobe Afx.
Audio track is Medicine Man by Playgroup.
Thanks Tsc (forums ; Nissan Skyline VS Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth animations availiable).

Two legends, two spots, a bunch of tricks and in the end, two beautiful pieces of work. Most of you already know Mathieu Heinemann, highlighted on the international scene with a powerful profile in Life+ 4. On the other hand, the name of Greg Mirzoyan may sound a little less familiar to you.

quoting Arlo Eisenberg:
My good friends over at Woodward West, Richie and Pam Velasquez, host an inline competition series every year called the AIL. Competitions are held throughout the season all over the country and then it all culminates in a giant Championship event hosted every year at the sprawling Woodward West skatepark facility in Tehachapi, California that draws the best Pro and Amateur rollerbladers from all over the world.
This year (this week actually!) Pam and Richie asked if I would create a graphic for AIL that they could use to help support the series and I gladly accepted. I stayed up ALL night last night and sent off the artwork pictured here this morning. They are trying to have the shirts printed by this weekend for the first event of the new season. Talk about quick turn around!

Read more about it in this forum’s topic.
Thanks Chris K.
