fair enough, in a way he is a leg end

WHAT THE FUCK NICK LOMAX HAS TO DO WITH SHIMA KILLERBOOT SECTION ?
August 20th, 2007 at 4:18 pm
leo you are stupid!
rollerblading is not like football, not competitive, somke a join and maybe it would make you to fell better
August 20th, 2007 at 4:31 pm
Shima still kills it!

People dissing on Shima’s style is crazy to me, he was inventing stylish tricks before many rollers even laced up.
August 20th, 2007 at 7:38 pm
you all clearly failed to comprehend the second part of my comment.
i didnt just straight out diss shima…but you know as well as i do hes had his day.

leo please die

He may not be doing a lot of switchups but Shima is one of the most sylish rollerbladers out there and he does some of the craziest disasters. It really doesn’t matter what trick he does because almost everything he does do looks so good you don’t care. I rather see a smooth stylish back royal held out for an entire rail than some sketchy full cab where the guy is waving his arms like a helicopter and 540’s out after 2 feet of grinding.
Thats all preference though.

shima is what got me to rollerblade, after seeing his section in brain_fear_gone.
August 21st, 2007 at 6:47 am
ive seen this like half a yr ago on youtube…
August 21st, 2007 at 7:30 am
“in a way he is a legend”
??
no, not in a way…he is.
brian shima is shorter than you, and skates things that are taller than you…not to mention looks better doing it.
most of those spots are unique…not seen in every video and magazine. not boring.
oh..and hes been doing it since you were skating around the rink in your fischer prices
August 21st, 2007 at 11:47 am
leo you are full of shit
August 21st, 2007 at 12:30 pm
This section is so great.
He does some tricks that are “simple” according to rollers these days, like back royales, but he does them SO stylishly and SO long.
Yet he can also do shit like ao topsouls on rails.
Huge gaps, huge grinds, huge transfers, shoulder’high ledges, style-Shima has it all.
Nice to see some biiiiig and creative rollin’ instead of the usual switches.
Switch-ups are great and all…….but it’s all anybody does these days. Since when was “skill” dictated by your ability on a 12-stair rail, the knee high ledge and the drop rail? I’m bored of it at times.
It’s called “rolling” not “grinding”. There is more to do than grind. Shima, like most of the old rollers (Latimer, Walt Austin etc) is TESTAMENT.

Beeeest profile ever! leo c’mon what the fuck are u talking about
August 21st, 2007 at 7:15 pm
Shima and Lomax are both amazing. Lomax is very underated though because he has never had a proper section that shows off his style, probably coz he is new and from the uk.
August 21st, 2007 at 10:08 pm
…shima is amazing…like him….my opinion…yes that´s what I posted no hate nor random bullshit… tryin´to be a rolemodel for the kids…
August 22nd, 2007 at 3:56 am
without shima skating would not be what it is today. we all owe a great debt to shima for what he has done to keep skating alive. so hes no aragon…he doesnt have to prove himself anymore hes already done it. give the guy a break! and this is another classic section from the one and only brian shima.
cheers.
August 25th, 2007 at 5:14 am
nick lomax better than shima? no fucking way. plus this section is old already
