Brian Aragon: Rolling back into the X-Games?
Brian Aragon & friends will represent inline skating at the X-Games (schedule was updated) ; there will be a skating demo on Saturday 30 & Sunday 31 in July 2011. Check his Be-mag interview by Dave Bloom (through Danielle).

Recently, we (Dave Bloom through Danielle) had a chance to sit down with Brian Aragon in Encinitas, CA and discuss his involvement with rollerblading in the X-Games this year.
He has been working diligently with X-mini towards the goal of bringing skating back into an X-Games spotlight and gaining what many feel is some long overdue publicity. X-mini, a company who has sponsored events like the Chaz Sands Invitational, FISE and Winterclash, approached Brian in Shanghai at Asian X-Games to discuss the possibility of getting him and a team involved to some capacity with X-Games 17.
Without hesitation this idea quickly got rolling into what could be the next big break for rollerblading.

okay good news. Every little bit counts. Though it’s not official. maybe next year it will be. Most companies like Costco do a trial run. See how many people are interested by simply watching the size of the crowd. we should all go out to support and watch. cause our number will allow the staff at espn and X-games realize they were wrong. Normally a big company like this one will test the waters in a way that won’t hurt their viewing audience numbers. so a live demo not broadcasting makes sense. However if they/we have the numbers then they’d be idiots not to take advantage of the opportunity to showcase our most talented.

The bladers on the X-Mini schedule post are bitchin both ways. You talk about how you want to see us popular again, which will happen soon, and then when we get exposure you want us to be a “kewl underground movemnet”!!! Underground sucks and mainstream sucks as well…for right now. The only cool thing mainstream in my opinion will be when blading becomes popular again! You guys are acting like a bunch of christ worshiping christians. You want to be persecuted but when you become persecuted then you talk about how wrong it is!!! SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!
