All due respect, Stephane desurved to win that hands down, Franky landed 2 tricks in the final, that was it, and the first one wasnt anything special, Stephane landed at least 5 really good tricks including a 1260 on the box and a 450 front royale on the pigeon post, as well as the 450 from the vert, he clearly desurved to win this. As far as contests go with (judging by name) and not by tricks, Stephane won.

No matter how stupid he behaved, he does sick and effective stunts which is rare these days. I think that he should get much more promotion rather than a competition ban, because things he does get attention from an ordinary people which is important for rollerblading. I bet that more people outside this sport know his name than for example Brandon Smith or Victor Arias.That’s just my opinion about this.

Alfano didn’t win because it was a best trick contest, they said it multiple times. Franky’s trick was the best trick, alfano didn’t one-up him, he deserved 2nd. Would have been really sweet to see franky land that 9 though, I can’t believe he even attempted it.

That whole thing is a farce, in every sense of the word… Frankey was the only person even slightly interesting to watch, but spoilt it with the whole life story thing. The plastic, false atmosphere of this whole thing makes me need a shower, if I’m quite honest.
Although one thing is certain, Stephan Alphano is the fucking best…. my new favorite, best attitude in skating. And I’m not being sarcastic.
Someone needs to tell ‘Prince’ that Prince is possibly the gayest name you could ever be called… But it suits this sick farce perfectly, so you should get it tattooed across your forehead.

Anyone else upset about the announcing and the skaters that they choose to represent us? I think it all comes in a package deal and we could start by having an announcer who can call the tricks right and educate the rest of the people watching about what is going on. Backflips are not the answer to making us look cool.

The whole thing is a fix.
Look at the way its marketed, the way they narrate Frankie’s story, the way Alfano gets mad before even finishing the comp and knowing the results he throws that back flip.
If Alfano wouldn’t have done what he did at the podium his anger could have been edited out in a final piece suitable for broadcasting, but with that OBVIOUSNESS you can’t edit a podium scene and pretend everything is fine.
I’m by no means suggesting he thought it all in advance, but he certainly followed his emotions about what he must have found out before the comp finished.

Stephane did great on the competition, but it was THE ONE trick contest and judges liked Franky’s original 540 fall down better.
His attitude was shit, clueless and childish. Not a very mature way to behave, making skaters look bad, making French look bad and very disrespectful towards the rest of the fellow skaters.
It was 2 years ago, hope he’s grown up and learn how to deal with frustration by now. Otherwise I know a very good therapist that treats exhibitionism…
