Before It's Too Late

The past two years have been filled with blading, old friends, new friends, booze, babes, stoops, limousines, cacti, new cities, raging, nogrinding, airplanes, and filming.

In these two years we’ve compiled quite a bit of footage. Some of it has been seen, most of it has not. So it’s about time we make an ongoing video series to get that footage out there, you know… Before It’s Too Late.

Filmed by Mike Torres & Austin Paz ; edited by Mike Torres ; graphics: David Dodge.

Locations: Rochester (NY), Philadelphia (PA), Greenville (SC), Tucson (AZ, Phoenix (AZ), Las Vegas (NV), Charlotte (NC, Tyler (TX), New York City (NY), Atlanta (GA).

Song: Devendra Banhart – Long Haired Child.

Knowing Mach Tim

Sunday, February 17th, 2008

When I heard a request for newer footage of Tim, I thought ‘what better way to present Tim’s skating than to open it up paying homage to one of the greatest skate videos ever made” (Coup De Tat).

Especially since the edits existence is in part due to the fact that a few certain dudes at USD have been feeling Tim’s skating lately. So I immediately put out a request to get some of Tim’s closest friends, and as many Rochesterians as I could to the makeshift studio I set up, so we could get their insight on Tim’s skating.

Tim knew about none of this. What came of it was about 13 minutes of usable footage (apparently people have a lot of nice things to say about Tim). What this means is we will be seeing another edit that will be more of a Tim Adams Collective, covering some of his best stuff over the many years I’ve known him, with the full interviews of his good friends.
