A few years ago on a Life+ video magazine, I remember seeing some guys cutting the front part of a inline skate frame to be able to do “nose slides”… And since then I thought to myself that would be cool to get a pair of skates “nose and tail slides friendly”, and so it was… I had a pair of old old frames laying around and made them shorter for Biskates project.
But the difficulty started when i first experienced the shortest wheels based inline skates ever. So much fun. – Ricardo Lino.
I see a lot of people doing their first steps with rollerskates on ramps. Dropping ramps is one of the first things they want to learn and ROCK’N ROLLs are usually the first trick to learn.
This video was filmed about 6 months ago, and i didn’t post it due to sound problems, but since my favourite Vlogging camera broke i managed to “fix it” and put it here for all of you! – Ricardo Lino.
I started rollerskating in 1983… Grabbing walls with wheel shoes was the new thing and i fell in love with it.
Went to primary school… I SKATED,
Went to high school… I SKATED,
Went to college … STILL SKATED,
Went to to university … BECAUSE OF SKATING,
TODAY? Well today it’s my life.
Hope you enjoy this video part filmed over the last 3 years in Portugal, Spain, California and South Africa. – Ricardo Lino.
This video part was edited by my friend Miguel Jacob for his video project that came out in 2000 called Gang da Rodinha (full video on Youtube).
All the clips were filmed in my after school spare time back then by Nuno Dias (A.K.A. muchaho) with my parents old camera.
The music in this video is also Local, and it was made by Label T (Tiago “Pardelha”). The title of the song is “Alentejo ta vivo” and it is about this region of Portugal where my hometown Sines is located.
Hope you enjoy this one, as for me this was one of the most important moments of my skating life.
A few years after this was made i left Sines to go to university and never really stayed in Sines again for more then a month. but it’s still my home town and the city that saw me grow. – Ricardo Lino.
Over the last few years a lot of aggressive skaters keep referring to the Salomon inline skates as the best skates ever made, but the question is, ARE THEY?
On the other hand, in 2015 and 2016, the Aeon skate from USD was voted by the general public the skate of the year. So i decided to test them myself by making a game of blade. – Ricardo Lino.
