Behind the scenes of SOTA in Malaga

This is a video from behind the scenes of SOTA. A mix of photos and clips edited together from when Jonas Hansson was in Malaga to film for State of the art (Sellfy).

It was a pleasure to watch Jonas professional work behind his camera. I like the way he works, so I decided to make this short video. And with the two amazing american bladers, Montre Livingston and Josh Glowicki in front of the camera, the footage could only turn out as art!Michael Pedersen.

Aritz Ortega (Spain): The Cult Revolution (2015)

Aritz Ortega (Spain): The Cult Revolution (2015)

A couple of years ago, myself along with a handful of other southern doods, found ourselves in New York City. While on our travels we’re strolling through a little place called Time Square.

We turned a corner next to a building known as Central Station. As we were walking past, we ran into a guy wearing a razors hooded sweatshirt. That was the very first time I was able to meet Aritz Ortega.

Due to a language barrier and the few thousand people swarming us, there time for nothing more than a short lived greeting.

I knew upon the introduction, that there was a reason we met. Fast forward a couple years to present day. Just as the rest of you, I have got to watch him grow as an individual skater. His unique style and choice of tricks are a rarity. Though you might only see internet DSLR footy of this pretty boy, I’ve gotten to know him as something different.

He’s full of passion for rollerblading. A fun type of skating, that at times seems lost and drowned out by trends and safety precautions. Aritz is one of those few, that really likes the scare himself. Looking for new ways to get the job done.

Though he is a crucial part to the future of the SL boot, he took the time to get this number together. And we can’t say thanks enough for the proper representation dawg.

Keep handling business over there, Aritz. As the revolution continues to grow, I hope we get the chance to work together again soon.

Who knows, maybe Aritz will end up as one the full fledged members of what we now call, The Cult Revolution. – Justin Chad Anthony.

4 years of rollerblading adventures around the world with Michael Pedersen

Friday, March 27th, 2015

4 years ago, I went on a airplane to Australia, right after the Danish rollerblading competition PonyCup and that’s where my travels around the world started.

After a couple of months in Australia I went back to Europe, stayed there for a while, before going to The United states of America.

4 years of rollerblading adventures around the world with Michael Pedersen

Later that year I had a terrible accident, falling head first 6 meter down, but i survived and 2 weeks later I was standing in South America, which was one of my best travel experience ever and the year after I went to South Africa.

In between my travels I always went back to the lovely city of Copenhagen, but now I’m living in the South of Europe.

So now, 4 years later, I’m back in Denmark, for the last PonyCup competition and ready with my video with rollerblading moves from all the continents around the world except Asia, but hopefully I’m going there later this year.

I would like to say thanks to everybody who have inspired and helped me on the road. Either picking my up in cars and drive around and for letting me crash on your couches and for teaching me about life and for all the fun times. I couldn’t have done this without my amazing friends. I really appreciate it! TUSIND TAK.Michael Pedersen.

Filmed in 5 continents: Europe, Australia, South Africa, South America and The United States of America. Cities: Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Lima, Quito, Johannesburg, New York, Long Beach, Copenhagen, Roskilde, Skagen, Esbjerg, Aalborg, Aarhus, Nykøbing Falster, Eskilstuna, London, Berlin, Glasgow, Amsterdam, Lisbon.
