aaron feinberg

1. What kinda music do you prefer while blading and out of it?
–my favorite music to skate to and listen to is mainly pink floyd, the beatles, and bob dylan. Bob dylan doesnt have that many fast paced songs for skating, but he is my favorite, a real OG.

2. Do you keep an eye on rollerblading industry? What’s your estimation of young generation progress?
–ive been out of the loop for a good few years now, but recently i went to the AIL contest at woodward west, and got to see where rollerblading is heading.

3. Why did you choose rollerblading? What was your impulse? Maybe you’ve checked out some other sorts of sports before?
–I had no plans on choosing rollerblading, it just seemed like something fresh and original, so i gave it a go. i feel like i got in at the perfect time too, because I felt like i grew everyday simultaneously with the growth and temporary downfall, and it was a great ride. [...]

  24. David McNamara Says:

It’s really sad that Aaron contributed so much to our culture but in the long term will never benefit from it, regardless of whether it becomes mainstream or not. If you look at his sections or competition runs, he was light years ahead of the game and could enter comps now with the same tricks he laid down in Bercy and still walk away with first place. His stunts and rail to rail insanity are timless but he just never capitalised on it. That could be down to capricious youth and the fact that he partied too much or just because his sponsors did not reward him enough for his efforts. Either way, we have lost another icon that will never be replaced that is very depressing.
