    True Story.

Tyler did the same shit every other skater did. it looked like an everyday edit you’d find on rollernews. Lang did something that dropped jaws.

don’t get me wrong, Tyler was very good, but creativity and originality always win especially when you’re talking about one of the biggest hammers ever dropped in rollerblading.

you’re right Lang did an awesome trick, so he won best trick, not the whole contest.

“Tyler did the same shit every other skater did. it looked like an everyday edit you’d find on rollernews. Lang did something that dropped jaws.” – based on the judging criteria on WRSUpload’s site: Hester should have won hands down. but big ramps always catch little kids eyes.

Judging is based on the following criteria; in order of importance:

    • Difficulty. Difficulty can be applied to a stunt, line or a single technical trick. Clips will also be judged on the overall situation including; size, run-up, landing, weather, traffic, etc.

    • Style. Competitors will be judged on style, confidence, control & speed.

    • Spot selection. Submissions will be judged on the variety, type, difficulty and visual appearance of obstacles.

    • Production value. Production value includes the filming, lighting, audio, music and editing of the video.

    • Character. Character combines all of the above elements and evaluates the submission on overall entertainment and likability of competitor.

Tyler Hester had the better section.

Thanks for posting the judging criteria. But you obviously didn’t read it.

Please notice that DIFFICULTY is #1. Difficulty. Difficulty can be applied to a stunt, line or a single technical trick. Clips will also be judged on the overall situation including; size, run-up, landing, weather, traffic, etc.

Lang dropped the BIGGEST,MOST DIFFICULT trick, with great style.

Tyler skated nice, but nothing remarkable. Lang ftw, hands down, and he won by a landslide. Get over it. try again next year and do something creative.
