dude the euros absolutely ished on the american dudes from what I can tell. At first few I was like meh these are okay, then NILS happened followed by the rest and ending with some of the nicest prell blading I have ever seen. Although, whoever filmed that prell edit let you down on a few of those tricks (the 360 and the fishy down the ledge come to mind). Not complaining at all though, I was like a kid on christmas when I saw this post. Really sick and an awesome way to come home from work.

Johhy, when did I say that SK sucked? The dude can do switch ups that most people couldn’t even think of. That said, I still stand firm that the filming and editing was terrible. I don’t think there is a single clip that stays on screen for more than 2 seconds. The camera is always bellow the rail, angled upwards with a fisheye, and follow the same “up-pan-down” path for every shot.
Perhaps you can comprehend the tricks better than I can…But what I am saying is that those tricks would be a lot more digestible if it was edited and filmed in a way that wasn’t so horrendous.
All that said, yeah, I really don’t care about SK’s rail tapping. I would rather see a basic trick on an interesting obstacle than a nuts one on a boring obstacle.
See, and I did that all without name calling! Isn’t it good to be intelligent?

I first read the comments, then checked the WRS website and made sure I understood the whole idea, then watched the clips, then voted!
(BTW, THIS IS GREAT. THIS IS BLADING. So many aspects come into play, Spot Selection, Overall Aesthetics, Skating Aesthetics, Technicality, Risk, Level of difficulty, etc… even popularity!!!, At the end, a well deserved representative of Rollerblading must find the balance among all these)

- Sorry Prell. I really like his section, he kills it. But, Dre is the guy, he also killed it, and he was blading right in my mother land COLOMBIA! Representing Blading across borders.
- Sorry Woodster. He can be the funniest, one of the coolest characters in rollerblading, and still kills it in disregard of what much of the faggots here think. But Jansons is simply too good, Jansons is the fucking bomb and if it were a matter of mere skills, he would deserve PRO level NOW!
- Sorry Kelso. Horn section was miserably poor. But it was 1000x more digestible than Kelso’s. ITO HAS WORDS OF WISDOM FOR YOU! It was just too much, I didn’t; even want to watch it again
- Sorry Juul. If it were possible I would have voted for both. But Ogger definitively makes blading look cool and has been killing it for quite a while now.

daniel prell-tricks were creative and fun to watch.
jacob juul-guy pulls off some bangers and has skated incredibly well since coming back from his injury.
matthias ogger-awesome tricks and amazing style.never see a bad edit from him and i honestly think he deserves a pro skate already.
nick wood-might not have the hardest trick selection or made the type of edit that is going to advance him in this online comp,but i still enjoyed it for what it was.
dre powell-skating was average and i know he could have done better,not that most of the pros are going to take this seriously cause its just some online edit and they won’t risk getting broke off for it,but come on man…tru topsoul on a CURB?get outta here with that shit.pros don’t get filmed skating curbs,in a line or otherwise.resorting to skating curbs=career over.
horn-too much slow mo for an edit that is barely over a minute.you didn’t have the time to spare nor did i enjoy any part of watching you skate your do-it-yourself hobo version of woodward on the grass.should have done some real hammers on street spots like i’m sure everyone would have expected you to do.

Nils easily! Dre’s edit wasn’t good, expected more from him….Prell’s edit was shit, did nothing that really impressed me and that’s disappointing because he’s much better than this edit shows. Kelso’s was alright….good tricks but come on, i’m getting bored of watching edit’s where it’s tap this tap that, grind about a foot or push the boat out and maybe 2 foot! A shame, because he’s one of my favourite skaters.

This is the reason why I love rolling so much! Every single one of these edits show a completely different take on rolling – different music, tricks, speed, style, attitude, pace – everything!
My favourite has to be Nils though! He’s such a fucking ripper! For me, that’s what rolling is about – fast, dangerous tricks – something that completely separates it from all the other action sports and just makes us look so much better! But all of them were amazing in their own, individual way.
Need to go for a skate now! I’m JUICED!

wow. SK sucks. his buddies will vote for him, but that was pure shit. Tossup between SK, Dre and Nick Wood for worst edit. Nils was BY FAR the best. U.S. pros really blow except for Haffey and Aragon.

did i missed something, ok lets look at all those edits. nils was fucking banger, no question but the thing is that all the clips he had or almost everyone was already filmed. but still hammer fucking good. dre´s edit was ok but not special, he could do better for sure. but still good though. i really like his skating and he is holding it down for years, not much people are seeing it but he is one of the top pros with the right attitude. he is just so positive…ok prell, i think he did a really good job, what people dont know that the weather in europe is fucking nuts. its funny to see all the americans skating with perfect weather and perfect spots. prells edit was a definition of how shitty it can be to film, i mean look at the weather and at the light in his edit, it sucked bad…but great tricks and good hard streetskating. nothing wrong about that.

by the way this comp is fucking great, i never wrote on rollernews but after seeing this i felt responsible to our sport. this format just feels like something is moving again. i see that a lot of people do care about this and that makes me proud. things are moving, new contest format and all that, that makes it so interresting. and you can see so much diversity out of each edit. everyone is so different. the judges cant judge this anymore. the more i looked on it the more i understood that this is impossible to judge. hard good rollerblading is so fucking rare and so fucking awesome, and thats the reason why you are reading this right now….
ok nicks edit, mhhh what should i think ? i know what nick can do, nick is a stunt maker from its finest. watch his filth section. but i agree, its kinda sad that he made this edit. i know that if he would have take more time and take it more seriously he could have done something ridicilious. no doubt about that. nick this is to you….you are great, never stop with your shit and dont get lazy !!!!!! if you read this.

ok next, sean kelso. actually i dont understand why people are hating on him because he jumps on small rails. fuck it thats the kelsos, they do what nobody is capable of. yes on small shit, but they are making it so sick that i think from a skater perspective, that shit is super controlled fucking nuts. one of the best skaters period. yo sean and tell your bro he is stupid if he stops skaint man.
ok ogger, there is not much to say about it. ogger is good, ogger is german, and his edit was pretty ok. but he is way better than in this edit, same with prell. its just the shitty weather that they have to deal with.
ok horn, his edit was very innovative. one of my favourites. he was the only one with a concept. i just think he should have had more time to show his potential. his skating just looks so interresting all the times and i expect him to be one the the persons that are going out there and making our sport big again in the future. same as aragon, haffey, broskow etc. this is grown up shit. and he is on it. horn this is to you, you are on the best way !!!! we fucking love you.
