What is that flip Roman does at 2:03? If his body was a skateboard it would be a kickflip lol. And it’s not a flat spin because he goes upside down, not flat.
I don’t think anyone else has ever done that trick over launch boxes, so therefore Roman gets to name it so we can stop calling it a “rodeo.” Rodeo is a snowboard term anyway.

A frontward-flipping frontside spin done off the toe-edge. Most commonly performed with a 540° rotation, but also performed as a 720°, 900°, etc..
see, he doesn’t flip frontwards (it’s more like sideways) and he doesn’t take off from the “toe-edge.”

The flip he did at 2:03 is just called a side flip in free running, except he did it vertically. Vertical side flip? Id call it a Vlip or Vlip Flip haha?

The flip’s at 1.15 and 2.03 is both ‘lincon loop’s’. The one at 1.20 I’d call a rodeo, but angle makes it difficult to tell.
People here are calling it ‘hot flip’ and ‘Vlip’, I don’t get why we have to rename a trick that is basically the same, and called lincoln loop in every other sport.
And also, skiers are the one community that respect’s us. So let’s not make it impossible for them to relate to us.

Lincoln Loop sounds gay as hell. Fuck skiing, we are rollerbladers, we can think for ourselves. Roman should name it what he wants. Trick looks bad ass. Remy’s trick was ridiculous! Ledoux finally has some competition.

haha, Roman is not the first to do a lincoln loop on blades.. I know people who does that. That’s the reason we don’t get much respect.. Because we think rollerblading is so much better than everything else, I have no problem saying that I think rollerblading is the coolest, but be open to other people and their interests.

Roman did this flip/spin in 54 since 2005 or something like that, and he learned it in 36/45 lately, but is not the first to do it… the first guy who did this tricks was Bruno Lowe a long time before Roman.. and when Bruno did it peoples called it “Rodéo”… i know it’s a Snowboard term but we don’t care… “Corskcrew” was made-up by Rollerbladers and a corkscrew is called a corkscrew in every others sports.. so.. why not “Rodéo” ?

RAH -the trick you are referring to is not the same, though i think i’ve seen lowe doing the lincoln. i guess he was the first to do a rodeo, pretty similar flips only when you do a rodeo you do a kind of sideways spin
