It’s really good to hear someone actually talking about the way that rollerblading develops self-knowledge and the strength to overcome, i can’t speak for anyone but myself but i know that skating for five years has taught me more about myself and about life than fourteen years of mainstream education… i don’t think i’d be half the man i am if i hadn’t walked the hard road that rolling for the long term is. Also i have to say that these kids seem a lot more eloquent than just about every other amateur rolling documentary i’ve seen. Barley Dead mapped the history of rolling as a sport but as yet no-one has really put together a decent account of what it’s like to be one of us. Every video like this helps piece together that account. And besides all that there’s the point that skate videos are great for raising the profile of our sport but it’s always gonna look like a circus act to the everyday guy in the street unless people actually understand WHY we do what we do. No amount of footage of hammers from Haffey and Aragon can do that, but videos like this one can. That’s why i’m so pleased whenever i see a video like this drop, cuz every one helps to build up the understanding which will eventually lead to rolling’s acceptance as something worthwhile.

some of the things the guy with the glasses (Kyle j.) said was very true, but except that i think you are biting TOOO MUCH from “b.unique bla bla bla” which i really don’t like either… but try to make something yourselves and Please stop using the same Fucking Songs that have been used a million times…. and you can compare rollerblading to other things BUT there is nothing else Exactly like rollerblading, but it’s wrong to say you Can’t compare it to anything else.. just my opinions. But WORD to kyle jordan!

guys. Here’s a fact. B-Unique pretty much sums up how most of us feel. What these guys did was good work. It’s professional enough to be given praise for their work. What he said was true. It is a journey into oneself.
Longinus. You’ve been skating for 5 years, wait until you’ve been doing it for 15 like me. You learn more about your fears, your strengths, your pains (Especially how to cure those pains) your pride, your faults, your body. You can find God or lose God in blading. There’s been times when I’ve thought I was gonna die from something that I was doing that was so dangerous. You think that 4 meter gap jake did is dangerous. Try doing top acid on dry coping and dropping 20 feet down, thinking you’re not gonna land. Your life flashes before your eyes. This is the way a lot of our videos needs to be in order to better educate the masses who don’t know about us and even more so the videos should have more intellectual people talking, leave out cats like Ramelle Knight. He says more “Yo Son” than a NYC Rap label.
The wave of our future is further knowledge of our sport, our body, and our industry as far as how to create growth for bigger endorsements and stock options for all of our companies. To get into video games and do what skateboarders have done for the past 10 years and that’s brainwash everyone into thinking that our sport is the shit without them ever trying it through games. We need to do more spots like this and even more so get them on TV doing crazy shit like skating down a pyramid or something. instead of Jake Brown doing the wall and just gapping it. We should be spinning or flipping over the wall. We should be doing building to building gaps in vegas. Things that will amaze anyone who bothers to even watch us for a second.
Rolleblading does change our lives. I don’t have a friend outside of blading cause I don’t trust anyone outside of it. I don’t need one either. dude we can get jobs cause of it. We get girls, money, etc…. some of those things aren’t as big as they should be yet but things will change for the better. I have over 40 friends cause of this sport that others call “Gay, a waste of time, Glad it’s off of X-games, better off dead” I’ve spent years of my life dedicated to improving my abilities to make the enjoyment of skating just that much better for me when I go. I’ve taught kids how to skate and now they’re better than I am, I’ve taken at risk kids outta their environment and showed them a better way to spend their time. This sport is so much more than a sport. It’s a way of life, you live, you learn, you try to over come all obstacles in your way cause on the other side of those obstacles is the bliss of knowing that you’ve succeeded.

ive never seen so much bitchin about what people love to do. who cares if its a rip off of b unique. r we gettin sued for usin thier idea? i think the people who r bitchin r missing the idea. sum kids love skating and they decided to tell people why. maybe if peeps got off the computer and stop bitchin so much they might kno what it was like to not give a shit and skate cause you love it. maybe then our sport will stop feeding off itself and people will see it for what it is. remember: no one cares how much you know untill they know how much you care. thanks korp and nscrew for the shout outs. and by the way savor the flavor was sick. shout outs to ben, andrew, and aaron. oh yea and brandin, lay off the smoke bro! hahahaha
