Vibralux Denim: 1996 is back…
And better then ever. Sitting down with the same angle, not using the zoom, great tunes, waiting in line, and 6 stair handrails.
Actualy we were just playing around before shredding, and we decided to make a funny little edit, couldn’t take ourselves too seriously.

SICK…but where was the sidewalk?
June 3rd, 2008 at 3:11 pm
how can you not know the difference between the word “than” and “then”
June 3rd, 2008 at 3:18 pm
hahahaha so good, one thing tho, the song was really fuckin annoying, i think it would be better (funnier) if you had a song from the 90s like some big willy style
June 3rd, 2008 at 3:24 pm
i miss 96. shoulda had some tunes by 311 or some fat wreck band.
June 3rd, 2008 at 4:05 pm
Great ! ahuehauheuaehuaehauhe, loved it. Been there heuauehuaeh, know exatly what AJ is talking about :)
Good memories
June 3rd, 2008 at 4:52 pm
ah… Those were the days when you couldn’t go down the street without hearing a 2pac or biggy song and the east coast and west coast couldn’t stand each other. Memories.
June 3rd, 2008 at 5:16 pm
hahaahahahah
Lets bring back rocket fishbones, low UFOs, wheel barrows, training wheels, boardwalks and sidewalks!
June 3rd, 2008 at 5:46 pm
best edit since 1997
June 3rd, 2008 at 9:34 pm
historically incorrect!! some of featured tricks were not popular until 98 ish. i would say true topsouls did not come out till 98/99 at least into the main stream anyway
June 3rd, 2008 at 11:21 pm
There were true topsouls in hoax 2, not very many, but they were there.
June 4th, 2008 at 12:28 am
There was no torque slide at this time!
June 4th, 2008 at 5:39 am
If we are talking 96, I can remember a few videos that came out back then and all those tricks were around and being performed, not quite as refined as they are now, but trust me, they existed. Dion Antony was doing torques in “Some Free Advice,” Roadhouse did an alley-oop fishbrain in “Fast Shoes,” TJ Webber did a truespin alley-oop soul in “Mr. Mooseknuckle,” etc.
June 4th, 2008 at 6:21 am
Portas, that might be true, unless you are a child prodigy like Alex Broskow… have fun in the mainstream.
June 4th, 2008 at 6:45 am
i used to rocket makio like a mofo!
June 4th, 2008 at 10:13 am
shit did I use then or than improperly, must have not been paying attention and making a 2 minute edit on the fly. you know those title boxes are awfully small ;(
June 4th, 2008 at 10:15 am
ooops saw what you were referring to and then is used in conjunction with time, and than is used when comparing things, so which do I use when comparing time… there lies the confusion.
June 4th, 2008 at 11:04 am
if we are talking about the concept of these tricks then yes they were attempted but in reality they had not been done and were not being done either.
lets talk about Ernie Villarino 360 topsoul in hoax 3, sure he lands on the grass but still sik. Would appreciate anyone else jumping in with some significant ones
June 4th, 2008 at 11:07 am
uhh…i used to watch any video i could get my hands on back then. i believe those were all there. theres no late 180’s/360’s/540’s onto stairs in this edit though. haha
June 4th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
b love hardin, damaged goods 1996, true top soul…
June 4th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
tim ward - festival of maddness - you name it he did it!
June 4th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
b hardin was on a floor rail. and roadhouse ao fish is a stall on mini. If we are going to count roadhouse’s on mini we may as well cant julio’s on the ledge in the hoax 3 start section
June 4th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
no disrespect meant by the last comment. I am just saying
June 4th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
i remember the first controled torque slide i ever saw was jon abina, visual aids, vg6, red oxygen argons with an inside grab. i thought it was camera tricks

takeshi sato tru top soy/awol NISS 96 on the drop rail
plus numerous amazing tricks in hoax4
June 4th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
NISS was the thing than first began my ingoing obsession with rollerblading. I sat as a kid and just wrote down every trick in every run and leanrt from there. Daniel Hendershot was a sik sik man
June 4th, 2008 at 10:12 pm
Daniel Hendershot was sick, but he needed to bend his knees a little more.
June 4th, 2008 at 10:24 pm
that was the best. thank you vibralux.

AND PEOPLE WORE HUGE ASS JNCO’S AND LISTENED TO 311 INSTEAD OF WEARING GIRL PANTS AND LISTENING TO GIRL PANTS; THE BAND
YOUR EDIT FAILS
June 5th, 2008 at 7:53 am
Well, it wasn’t a planned edit, we didn’t go out with the intention of making a 1996 edit. People were skating a 6 stair and I was filming for FUN, weird I know, and then I realized how comical it was what they were doing.
Since I was being lazy with the camera and the shots and tricks turned out how they did I realized it reminded me of 1996.
It was originally chopped to Sublime with crazy slide transitions and other silly 1996 stuff, but decided it was more fun without all of that. Besides, I didn’t want to use a perfectly good sublime song for a six stair impromptu edit.
So Mr. KANBLISMEREST, go jump off a bridge and stop reading into whatever other people are doing with their lives, because your penis is showing…
June 5th, 2008 at 9:54 am
haha that was cool.
June 5th, 2008 at 2:13 pm
This is my son, “Cool”.
June 5th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
Very accurate
Although Rollerbladers didn’t dress like fags in the 90’s
June 5th, 2008 at 3:01 pm
Oh and tell KC Roche to stop forcing his style, it looks awful
June 5th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
12345, rollerbladers did dress like “fags” in the 90’s, they looked awful. I am not the boss of KC or his skating, go tell someone who gets paid to skate to do something, because they are paid BY you, you don’t really do anything for KC do you?
June 7th, 2008 at 4:21 am
KC turns me on….”long live cool”
June 9th, 2008 at 9:34 am
That was really nice to watch. Also the 98 championship was really nice to watch
