Valo Erik Bailey : Boot Liner Trouble

up : Valo Erik Bailey Skates with the tongue of the Valo Jon Julio Skates
So for everyone who complained about the liners in the new Erik Bailey’s (EB) they were right…
The tongue is horrible and hurts like Hell. I noticed that on my new EB’s so i had to choose between using my Sifika liner (who fits perfect in VALO’s) or put a bit work in my EB liners.
I decided to invest some time and change the tongue from the EB’s with the older ine from the JJ.1… Just a bit of cut’n sew and i have custom liners deluxe.
and when they rip i go back to my Sifikas.. have fun…support VALO!

well err….that’s uh…really good. I mean the customizing. Yah it’s a shame it turned out that way hurting people but I like the positive attitude you expressed towards the problem. A lot of people living on these boards would rather file more and more complaints never trying to really solve a problem like that. I mean there are exceptions like broken frames or ripped buckles. But things like ripped skin or “not enough graphics on my razors” can be so easily remedied (chuckle Remz). Thanks man. You’re my hero.

i bought the eb.1 for christmas and that tongue is so uncomftorable i had to put my xsjado’s back on and worry about the valo’s later. it is ridiculously painful and stupid that i payed 235 for that.

hey,
i talked with JJ about that and he told me they never had a problem with the liners but after many comments they will work on a different way to make that liner…maybe a detachable plastic tongue or a stash pocket…

you need to loose the buckle and tight the laces…..and give them some times to get more flexible…I have mine since 2 weeks and they are perfect.

How long did you roll them for before “giving up” on the liner?
I haven’t rolled in the Bailey’s but I have had skates where the liner seemed to stiff and the problem usually goes away with general wear as they “soften up”.

yea rite thas sucks for anyone who buys skates to have to deal with that problem why should they have to pull a frankenstein liner when they just spent over 200$ on skates , fuck tha shit

why won’t they just replace everyones liners. If you pay 230 for a boot you should get good liners. They fucked up so they should be the ones who have to pay, not the skater.
This is what happens when a product is not properly tested. I bet Bailey skated them for a week and said ok these are good, with no thaught to people with differnt shaped feet or wear and tear.

I got these skates a few weeks ago and I LOVE THEM, all you people saying that the liners hurt are being lazy. Maybe you should get off your asses and do what Guillaume says, find a way to make them fit.

should not happen period.

my friend just bought em but after 20 mins of skating em he went back and put his xsjados. He is in the process of selling them now actually.

Dudes, Bailey skated the shit out of this skate…he tested it over a year…the whole summer during his Europe trips and so on…Every fucking clip in the past is with that skate…also Cosi tested the shit out of it and some more people…I don’t know what should be wrong with those skates, but I just know that Valo rocks and that the Bailey skate is propably the best looking skate on the market right now…

“the Bailey skate is propably the best looking skate on the market right now… ”
if you are trying to look like the millions of skateboarders in the world this is the skate for you. They come out of the box looking like a pair of vans that have been skated for six months. The white fake leather is always already cracking when people get them.
this is a shel that has been around for about 20 years now, they can’t cost that much to make. compared to the M12 (which is the same exact skate) they are $120 more for only the boot. For that much money you can have a M12 with jug neoprenes, valo soles, and any frame and wheels you want. It would not be a big deal if they were only $130 for the entire skate but for $310 with frames that are unskateable, it is just plain fucked up there are any problems.

im gonna see if i can buy new liners at a discounted price from the shop where i bought em… any suggestions for liners?

everyone should send the entire skate back to valo, maybe if they get enough of them back they may get the point
January 2nd, 2007 at 5:29 am
They look like big ugly basketball shoes with wheels.
M12 + jordan sneakers + 150$ = valo.

look, the baileys are slick. right now i have the jj1s and i like them but i would get the bailey boot if i had the money. and for “collin”, i use either the sinisters or jug. never tried sifika but i may switch it up.
Lovin the Valo.
