They did improve on the mold… they took off the old rocers soul plate and replaced them and they changed the liners… from what i have been reading around… the soul plate slide like butter and the liners are comfy as hell… hahaz… so yea….. BTW AB blacks are cool… kinda like the blue to… i think the zebra stripes really add in interesting style to the skates….. oh yea… and if most of you dunno Alex Browsko, he is a very colourful guy and whenever he skates he seldom wear white or black… hahaz… go watch some of his vids and you will understand… hahaz…. anyway… keep rolling guys

I THInk the ABs look really fukin good, the arlos are very interesting too.
i think 2 things: they are just exploting the artsy “image” side, just use the old majestic boots (second aggressive skate invented?!?) and put some nice skins. on the functionality and practical side this doesn’t sound too good at all, no innovation.

but then, they are not BAD skates, people are happy with them, ppl do wonderful things on them :) so some may say “why fix what’s not broken”.

so in conclusion: when they get enough money why not invest more on functionality? reduce weight, blablabla
the skins are great depending on your taste, but please, some time in this century: innovate in the molds!!!

likeing the ab1s sweet azz, dont see why skateboarders have ny say in whats gay or not since they use pink in their wheels,trucks,shoes.. fashion and art keeps things interesting . id change the pink with some black and white.

Those skates are full blown Arlo. I love it! We need DIVERSITY in Rolling! The amplitude in Rolling is such now adays that tight,baggy,pink,purple, whatever, doesnt matter. What is important is diversity, and the (R)evolution of the sport. One day the world will see, dont worry, just keep on Rolling.

-> Everything is marketed/marketing. If it’s not done deliberately and well, then it is bad marketing. There is no reason to prefer bad marketing to good marketing. These skates look fresh and relevant to the current fashion “moment.” Big props to Arlo/Franco and Valo for making rollerblades look sick (Though a slight knock against them for jocking Supra’s Skytop design -> hypebeast.com/image/2007/08/brooklyn-projects-supra-skytop.j... - though I know Broskow rocks these, so it could fit with the pro boot thing).

And to whomever said: “Why don’t they make some good skates without any pictures or other shits?” -> They do. The majority of their offerings don’t have any “pictures or other shits.” Go to their website, or look at the boots currently available at a local shop or online retailer, like http://www.revolutionskate.com.

And finally, to haters in general -> If you don’t like the skates or their flamboyant design, then don’t buy them. There’s no reason to bemoan the state of the industry. It seems like a lot of you are just kind of behind the times. You may be clinging to a past trend that has already slipped away (like the rap attacks/baggy slacks movement), or you may just be outside the cultural radius of a major metropolitan area. Either way, recognize game. Arlo is a leader. Jon Julio is a leader. They were doing shit most of you probably still can’t do ten years ago. They’ve been ahead of the curve skating and fashion wise for years. Maybe you should get over yourselves and trust their leadership. Or maybe you’re just fifteen and you still need to “get it” a little more. Or you could keep hating and keep rollerblading underground and broke until broskow and haffey have to quit and become baristas. Please don’t. One love. - ANONYme

The new skins look awesome. Top notch in quality. I love the black ones. Good to see a more sneaker design that is in keeping with current shoe trends. Valo did a good job on the AB’s. Artwork on Arlo’s is dope, but not my style for actual riding. This is a good direction for skate design.
