USD Carbon IV: Release info

USD Carbon IV: Release info

Larger Picture on Theconference.org | USD Facebook Page.

USD is preparing to release IV, a skate that represents technicality fused with function and quality and features a number of exciting new developments including a customizable cuff for an optional V-Cut.

This is the first V-Cut in aggressive that allows you to skate with or without the V-cuff support as you wish. With 3 simple screws, you can enjoy a brand new sensation of Carbon skating.

Adding to his, the Carbon IV also offers a removable liner that feels almost like a second skin. Thin, heat moldable and perfectly formed to the boot, this will satisfy those that enjoy the feeling of a removable liner.

Furthermore the boot features hidden laces and real leather / cordura nylon combination for the upper.

To complete the IV, USD added extra boot protection as well as a reinforced carbon fiber shell and a replaceable midstrap, allowing for maximum skate life and even more options for customisation in the future.

These can be pre-ordered from next week!

  3. Marcus Says:

How the hell the most sexy skates on the market becomes the most ugly and weird skates ever?

  4. Anonymous Says:

They are a work of art

  5. Tom C Says:

    I’m so moist right now.

  6. DK Says:

This is the first V-Cut in aggressive that allows you to skate with or without the V-cuff support as you wish…

    This is not true!

give credit where it is due…REMZ were the first!

I’ve held these in hand. THe v-cuff and removable liner are a great addition. However, the ‘hidden laces’ and the rubber on the little toe area bury the skate. They are absol. hideous in real life. The carbon in the heel is almost reflective looking too, super shiny almost like you have 2 disco balls on your feet. Not to bash USD, the Carbon 2 and 3 are the best skates ever created in my opinion.

They remind me of these: http://www.rollersnakes.co.uk//files/tnails/s140530br.jpg

Give us a Carbon 3 with v-cuff and removable liner and we’ll all be happy.

  8. Anonymous Says:

interesting if there is a removable liner, will the sizing of a shell be the same as on other usd skates?…i hope they are going to be true to size like all previous carbon models…

  9. Yawn Says:

Xsjado 2.0 already, WHAT THE FUCK!!! Its a fucking soul plate and cuff change.

WHY THE FUCK HAVENT YOU RELEASED THE NEW XSJADO YET!?!?!?!?

  10. iR0LL Says:

how much are they gunna be 9 million poundsss

  11. jawn Says:

I like oli skuff guard! I can kick flip in these for sure! ahahah its like a skateboard shoe mixed with a K2….Might wont to go back to the drawling board on this one.

  12. Anonymous Says:

why would they include a removable liner? the skates were perfect without one…

  13. jake Says:

carbons are stupid flimsy pieces of shit… razors ftw.

  14. Anonymous Says:

Agree I like them but don’t like the stupid “oli kick flip protector” at the toe ???

What is the point of that ?

  15. Anonymous Says:

Carbon Free = best USD skate to date

    /thread

  16. Anonymous Says:

they remind me of the first dres

i wonder if all the stuff they added makes it weight more then a k2

i like where this is going. the carbon boot itself should last a long time. i can see myself buying this and just replacing cuffs souls and straps.

id’ love to see one with more bare carbon or replacable skins

  17. Anonymous Says:

hideous…none of the USD riders approved of this model..entirely oli benet on this one.

  18. Anonymous Says:

    in white please !!!

  19. Anonymous Says:

Agree I like them but don’t like the stupid “oli kick flip protector” at the toe ???

What is the point of that ?

The “kick flip protector” is to protect the skate whenever you slide out.

  20. cram Says:

    Reminds me of these http://bit.ly/MM8EYN

  21. some guy from germmany Says:

the protector is not a wrong idea.
but the change of the look from the carbon 1and2 to carbon 3 doesnt turn me on. the look becomes more and more fat..
but the idea of a skinny liner for more comfort is not the wrong way. became problems with my ankle in carbon, so appreciate it!

  22. Anonymous Says:

    gross… real gross

  23. Wow Says:

they look like razor dre powells

  24. Anonymous Says:

need to see these next to c2s

  25. William Says:

They kind of look like the DK 3′s.
    aggressiveskateforum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=72922

I have to reserve judgement until I see them in person as the Burston skate looks ugly in pics, but beautiful in person.

  26. KFC 187 211 Says:

Those are ugly as fuck! . ill stick to my bauers.

  27. Trill Bill Says:

Skates are looking, better and better everyday! Those are beautiful!

    Props USD!

(I’ll stick to my skates though!)

  28. Anonymous Says:

They look soo good n plastic by the side toe is soo the skin which you cant change lasts you dumbasses anyone who has had carbons knows they skuff n rip there the replaveable strap is because people broke the metal holding the old straps the cuff n liner are un needed adds though

  29. jerryP Says:

everyone who is asking about the “rubber kickflip cap” is stupid. i bet you all dont know there is a place to put your jug pull-tab either. anyone who “actually” rides carbons would know that the rubber cap is a must.

these skates will be perfect with normal liner in them for those “half sizes”. and i literally just broke off my metal ankle strap protector just a couple days ago.

ps: razor = 4 shells in the past 15 (or so) years
rems = 3 shells in the past 12 (or so) years
xsjado = 1 shells in the past 8 (or so) years
usd = 7 shells in the past 15 (or so) years

    at least their moving forward!!!!!

  30. AF SWEDEN Says:

You all wrong the really reminds me of these

    skatesetup.com/images/skate/large/fd1d4bbb77fc0eea08b8beac56...

  31. Anonymous Says:

grindhouse says they are the same are regular carbons, props for continuously improving your skate, I wish valo would do the same with their half ass lights…

  32. Anonymous Says:

you got to be one of these rich and tasteless people to own these!

  33. Mike Says:

Yep, heard the team disapproved of these as well. 3 steps backwards. The entire point of the carbon series was to have a slim skate with a built in lining to reduce bulk. Putting a removable liner in completely misses the point. Matthias just gets too excited and parts with money easily. The last line of Carbon skates where amazing, style wise, and functionality wise. Powerslide, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Stick to minor improvements and skin designs, leave the Carbons as they where.

  34. Trill Bill Says:

Man the lights look legit… Them B. Smiths look slick. All of the new skates coming out have something for everyone… No need to hate unless it’s on price tag. Me personally I think these look great, and you can still order the older models if you prefer them.

    Word!

  35. Yappie Says:

I feel USD is departing too far away from the Deshi model. People who liked Deshin like the flex that their skates offered, now, USD keeps on making the skates stiffer and stiffer. Not couning the carbon 1s (The imperials), which were too stiff for everybody, so much so that sales flopped and people everywhere complained, the carbon 2s, 3s, and 4s seem to have one thing in common. Each progressively adds stiffness (support) to the skates.

Carbon 2 – Added plastic cuff
Carbon 3 – Higer Carbon shell
    Carbon 4 – cuff without v cut

Look guys, If i wanted a skate with support, I would go for the UFS Thrones or Classic Thrones, but I want flex, so give me the Deshi carbons back. The only thing I like what yu did with it was the tongue.

  36. Anonymous Says:

can they fit throne cuffs on them?

  37. Anonymous Says:

BEST SKATE IN THE HISTORY OF ROLLERBLADING

  38. trippy Says:

bet these will run for a cool 450 >.> n you think theyll still be heatmoldable?

  39. barf Says:

    sweet kickflip pad bro.

  40. nathan Says:

fuck all these extra changes fix the stitching on the carbon 3 spent 315 quid on that month later i’ve had to glue the stiching back together

  41. Super Ted Says:

USD always do this, they have butchered the Classic throne left right and centre with their more is better mentality, the soleplates on the classic throne are not even funny anymore.

Now they have butchered the carbon hahaha, they may as well jus take a legacy carbon skate and call it a day.

If it looks good then don’t make it look shit, leave it looking good and if needs be make another good looking skate rather than destroying a perfectly good looking skate for the necessity of change!! jeeeze some heads need banging together over in Germany.

  42. Anonymous Says:

The whole point of the usd carbons is that there is no liner, ruined the carbons completely sorry usd but they look terrible as well! disappointing!

  43. J.311 Says:

They look great to me! don’t know why everybody is so pissed off, the carbon 4 doesn’t replace the current carbons and carbon frees, USD just added a new option for carbon lovers. I want to try them!

I can’t believe I just wasted my time reading not all the comments. Looks cool and skateable. I wish we had more choices when I started umpting years ago. Appreciate it you materialistic chumps. Skates are skates. And majority of you guys or girls are going to quit to do something productive or cooler anyways, so stop your bashing on the new Carbons and find something else to complain about like….what’s wrong with this world or crime or politics or whatever goes on your young minds.
