USD Carbon II: Review Article by Richie Eisler

usd carbons 2

I’ve been skating my Carbon IIs for almost four months now. Best blades I’ve ever skated. Hands down. They are the smallest and lightest boots I’ve ever ridden, super comfortable, the new cuff concept has fixed the previous forward flex issue while still remaining very supportive… And they look badass.

Recently, the high quality of these blades really hit me. I was looking down at them and they are still in great shape. While everyone I have been skating with has worn out their respective blades and is on their second or third pair, the Carbon IIs are fine. The materials are very high quality and it makes a difference. In the four months that I’ve had them, I’ve skated hard almost every single day; filming for Vine St, shooting park edits, all types of street, cess slides, gaps, ledges, etc. and they’re still going strong. best skates on the market:

    1) best performance boot
    2) most inovative technology in agro inline
    3) best looking (or probably best looking ;) )

  2. Anonymous Says:

yeah right but what is the price ?

  3. Rob Says:

I know what I want for Christmas! :)
You get what you pay for ;)

  4. Dude Says:

but who changes skates two to three times in four months? what skates do they skate and what do they do with them?

i just assume that skates should last longer than 4 months.. there is no parade for them after 4 months..

  5. roller_barbie Says:

The price is on loco skates. Wait till you hear it ok………. £269 boot only!

  6. andreas542 Says:

Richie Eisler skating these hard almost every day for 4 months and them holding up is great, I hope it’s not over-hyped. My main concern is that if the internal lining rips you have to replace the whole boot, which could be quite costly.

I think I’ll be getting me a pair of these.

  7. Oli Benet Says:

Just a quick exclusive to say that when the skates are released there will also be cuffs in black, white, red and cyan available aftermarket.

  8. marco Says:

my question is, how did the change the flex?
did they cut out all the carbon at the ancle part of the skate. that ist the problem with the deshi carbon, there is no flex.

if the only put in some liner-material and put a cuff on it, than the flex problem will be there anyway. so what did they change?
to my mind it looks like a deshi carbon with a cuff and a better liner in the cuff region, so why should i pay 350euros for a boot only?

i also drilled a hole in my deshi carbon, put a cuff on it and cut an old liner so that it fits into the cuff region of my deshi carbon and nothing really changed. the problem is still that i don`t flex like a normal skate when you do tricks like topsoul etc.

don`t get me wrong. its still a good skate and i like it very much, but why should i pay 350 euro for something like that? i`m a skater, not a millionare.

  9. Oli Benet Says:

The whole interior shell has been adjusted to allow natural flex and movement with the added cuff. It has been shaped differently around the ankle area. If you take the cuff off you do not have a previous carbon you have a broken ankle the same as if you take the cuff off any other skate.

This has been thoroughly tested by the pro and am team and they say it has the perfect balance between and flex and support right now. The coming months will proove this as many more people are able to test it. The majority of the USD team will be skating Carbon 2 by 2011, by choice.

  10. Lee Doig is all about carbon 2s Says:

    on that shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. marco Says:

thanks for the answer oli :)
I`m happy to hear that the flex is overworked!
but still i can not understand, why they cost so much for a boot only.
even 300 euros are to much i think.
to my mind more people would order this skate directly if it would be cheaper like 250 euro. i know that technical progression is expensive, but the shell is the deshi carbon, so it is not an totally new mold.
we all have to pay our rents and bills, so its hard to pay as much as for 3 pair of xsjado skates. hope you will notice that!
    Thanks :)

  12. ma«x Says:

is the sizing on these exactly like the deshi carbons?

  13. Oli Benet Says:

The sizing on this is like the USD Carbons. That is to say if you were a 43 in Deshi Carbons you would be a 42 in USD Carbons. I’m going to post the size chart link underneath this comment (i have to do it in 2 because RN has to approve links, so it might take a while to approve.)

  16. deshi carbons Says:

hey hey guys n girls i loved my deshi carbons befor they broke i never had a problym with the flex like any skate needed breakng in. i really hope these skate just as good even better would be hard to do but amazing lol. i understand usd took over the boot and maybe dident want them to look the same so i hope they just dident stick a cuff on just to try make the product more intresting or something. Great work guys

  17. shit Says:

these skates are complete shit and have been since they were brought out. The only reason people buy the skate is because it’s light and they can’t jump high to begin with. Whenever I see footage of people skating these they look more like parkour guys than skaters, there needs to be a little weight to allow for some skating not just running around the street or a park.

  18. Revolt Says:

Wow “shit” you do not have ANY idea what you are talking about. No one NEEDS extra weight under their foot. That is complete idiot nonsense talk.

  19. nando Says:

i use size 10.5 usd throne ….. buti f i get some carbons are they gonna be same size??? or something changee

  20. Reality Check Says:

Black people like Richie Eisler because he reminds them of Ryan Gosling

  21. Ymerej Says:

    fuck yeah they’re so sick
if i hadn’t hurt my ankle in my deshi carbz i’d be getting these for sure
    richie is the man…

would’ve been cool if they sold these as a pro model for eisler or dalnas
cuz nobody can rep them like those 2 can

when will vine st. come out???????????

  22. lol Says:

    @ Revolt

    When I huck a gap – I beg to differ!!!!!!!!!1

I need some weight. I remember the 2nd model of “Remedyz” that I owned. (Not the first model skate they produced but the 2nd) and they were sooo light I was afraid for my noggin a lot of the time!!

  23. rok jarc... Says:

    4 months…..wtf!?!?

  24. Anonymous Says:

When are the white ones released? Will they follow the black ones release a few months later, or are they being released simultaneously?
Different coloured cuffs also just adds to the already brilliant carb 2 ideas..
