USD Black Realm : More Photos

Roces has recently turned heads wihin the industry by taking their skate design back to a simple but effect manner by relying on the M12 mold to sell skates.
USD is one of those companies which has taken a notice and have an answer to the classic M12 with the new USD Realm skate. It is a slim fit skate, which seems to have a design closely resembling the old Fila Krust-Y skate. It remains to be seen if these skates will match the success of the M12, only time will tell.
Here are some photos that Canadianroll published. I think the skates look nicer than in the press release so here are the photos.

I must say it: now that I got used to these, I prefer ther look than M12′

the sole plate looks like it can crak at any moment…like, after a 2 foot drop…or after banging on the side of a curb or sum shit

If it’s anything like the fila-skate then the soulplates grinds hellafast but is pretty resistant.

hmm not 2 sure still dont like the look of them but they are better than all the other entry level skates i.e anarhcy

They won’t ever come close to being as good as the m12’s.
These are fucking nasty…

Well salerno used to rip on the fila’s… and they looked pretty dope on him. I still have a VHS of him on them… somewhere.

what the fuck? how are these supposed to be back to basic, simple skates like M12? they have just as much, if not more detailing than any skate out there

i dont know about everyone else, but i dont need continuous updates to realize they are one of the ugliest skates ever.
September 7th, 2006 at 3:19 pm
I swear that they ARE the Krust-y’s! I’ve still got some pics of them on my pc and the cuff, nose and soulplates are exactly the same!

Why would ANYONE want to copy a FILA skate???
One of my friends talked to Guy Crawford about this skate, as he’s been sent a pair, and apparentely he loves them. They also look a lot better in real life apparentely

damn
some of you guys are so annoying, bitching about them copying the old filas….or i swear those are the filas
THEY ARE!!! shutup already, damn
usd bought the molds from fila…they were olny out for one year
why let a good boot go to waste?
personally i wanna try them. filas were literally the lightest skate out, and probably still are when these come out
so many better parts out now too, frames, wheels, etc
not sure if they would fit exactly right, i think the boot is flat
but they would be sick with some xsjado souls

Roces wins this one those don’t compare
September 8th, 2006 at 5:19 am
Damn, all they did was redesign the cuff a little bit. Not much change to the fila mold. And the whole time USD was making it sound like they invented the skate. Pretty misleading when you use words like “designed” and “new”. Not saying they don’t skate good, but that’s a pretty bullshit press release.

USd showed it backdoor at ISPO. They said price is like $120 or 100 Euro.
The reason they are doing it is to bring kids back to skating with good price point skates. They also said it is based on the Fila mould but modified to UFS etc. For $120 you cannot go wrong with this skate.

Those are nice for only 120 I may pic up a pair just to roll around in or use in emergency
