just to get it straight, you cant remold carbon fiber after its hardent. you only ruin your skates!!
carbon is a composite material, which means that you can’t recycle, remeld or remold it in any ways… you only weaken the carbon fiber material

i’m looking for spacers n rockers so my skates don’t sound clanky… my mom would beat my ass if she saw me cooking my skates

franko-
You most definitely CAN heat-mold the carbon fiber used in skates. Speed skaters have been doing it for years and years. I personally have molded a couple pairs of the Carbon2′s for people already and it works great. There is no weakening of the material from the process, and even if there was, the Carbon2 baseplate has an extremely long warranty- two or five years, I believe.

has anyone tried molding carbons? i have a friend who has done it, but he did it with a heat gun, and says the skate feels way better and has had no problems with it. Anyone?
March 26th, 2011 at 9:12 am
lol to franko (sorry, also al dolega didnt write correct).
you DONT do anyting to CARBON while heating and molding skate!!! Only real thing you are doing is MELTING resin what holds together all carbon leyers! After resin get back to hard composition, skate/carbon/boot gets hard!
theory: SHMR Technology™ (super heat mouldable resin) = fully heat mouldable.

and yes, i have molded skates what are SHMR compatible!
