I would love to do that with my valos, but, wouldnt any sort of impact to the plastic boots in long amounts of time in bitter cold conditions make them break eventually?

  2. Sean Michaelson Says:

those are pretty sick. i was hoping to see a iceblock fishy

  3. Lan Says:

    Excellent !!!!
et du coup on pourrait tester les fish makio et X grind en patin à glace !!!

  4. Kewy Says:

Fuckkk, I’ve been going on about this idea for the last two years! But never got round to executing it.
    Sick if they come out!

  5. Ross thomson 25 yr old Hater Says:

This is sick. i wonder if you can do soul based grinds on ice blocks or something. its the next big winter olypic sports.

  6. Robi'wan Says:

Tout à fait d’accord avec Lan, Il faudrait agrandir le concept ! =D
Un p’tit Ice-Park et et les tricks seront super stylés !

  7. Joshua.gizzle Says:

they need to doo this! kizer/bauer frames!

  8. jo?men Says:

Make as quick as you can paten on this and start to produce this. I wont to but this skate frames right now! :)

  9. Kristjan Says:

It is pointless becasue you can`t do anything whit them

  10. aenimadoll Says:

    That`s fucking sik!
    i want them!!!
    I need them!))

  11. BJB Says:

    i agree.

  15. smokey Says:

put an H-block on those things and start doing buisness!!!

  16. meh Says:

for those people saying: pointless you can’t do anything with them.

I think this is really proof that the UFS system can become even more universal, with people skating rec frames on the new rollerblades, to this guys innovations. one set of skates multiple uses.

plus I think saying you can’t do anything with them, after watching a video where a guy is clearly ‘doing something with them’ is ridiculous.

PS- Canada will rock your country’s asses at the olympics and maybe in 2014 while wearing remz!

    :)

  17. South Bronx Says:

    I AGREE WITH MEH

the ones saying you can’t do anything with them are idiots. i’ve been thinking about this idea for YEARS. YEAAARRRSSSSS!!! i’m fucking excited as shit to see this finally become real. people have tried this before but i’ve never seen it work as well as these remz in the video. the point of this ISN’T for aggressive skating on ice. why are people even saying to put an h block on the blade? are you kidding me? that’s ridiculous. this is solely for ice skating and to involve our inline boots with that is genious and long over due. Roces and K2 make hockey skates, they should pick up a patent for this because it’s amazing and can spark a revolution. because shit, believe i’ll be buying a pair of ice frames if they are UFS.

  18. Angel Says:

    ‘”l|OMG OMG OMG|l”‘

i mean really do you think you where the first ones to think of ice blades on your agg skates? :)

check out my slution…. i kinda like it better ;)

(and its for sale due to me havin’ another pair of these)

peace out to all of ya!

  19. nhrb Says:

    ice vert would be sick…

  20. john Says:

oh my god haha ice vert, that would be insane. It would be so easy to get hurt though.

  21. Michael Says:

On a serious note I think it would be practical to turn your rollerblades into ice skates. I mean we’re all gonna grow up and have play with our future children during the winter, right?

  22. PascalMR Says:

If it’s pointless to finally get a confortable skate in wich your used to skate to play hockey then I must be an idiot.

We we’re thinking of trying those frames on deshi crabones also as the boot is more similar to a real hockey skate.

  23. luke sheldrick Says:

coming from somebody that only ice skates 1 or 2 times a year, this product would be something i would definately buy. ive always wanted ice skates but buying skates for 1 or 2 days a year would be ridiculous. i hope that if these do eventually come out they are not much more expensive than regular frames.

  24. skate2create Says:

ice skating was the first things i did as a 4yr old as well as inline skating soo yes i would buy a pair of these frames if they range from 30-50euros … and do not break.. good for hard boots no doubt.. valos are fine since you can take the skin of and vwala you have a ice skate … etc… i dont own ice skates for the same reason as mentioned.. 2days a year.. not worth it but this would get many to try ice skating and those who ice skate to try aggressive skates… awsum! also good practice for when you want to improve skate control…

  25. PascalMR Says:

luke sheldrick Says: hope that if these do eventually come out they are not much more expensive than regular frames.

I talked with the actual creater and selling the frame for cheap is one of his priorities.

  26. John Dillingham Says:

Awesome, these definitely have a use. So many cities have ice skating rinks, would be great to be able to put these on my skates instead of using some terrible rental skates. And they look like the skate really well. I was kind of pessimistic at first as far as versatility but the dude that skated them looked like they work real fluidly. I hope to see these come to fruition as well as a product I can buy.

  27. Natron Says:

This is clearly a good idea for a real product. Hockey skates are hella stiff and uncomfortable for an entire 3-period ice hockey game. That dude is skating smooth and holy shit if I could switch my frames on my USD’s to rock them during my hockey games it would be dope!! Props to these guys I hope they get rich.

  28. JD Caron Says:

Thanks a lot for all the comments and feedback. I understand that some of you find the concept pointless since there’s few tricks to do. But still, it transforms an UFS skate into a nice, warm and comfortable hockey / ice skate.

luke, the whole goal behind this idea / project is to provide a very affordable ice skate to those who already owns and love their UFS skates. I would like to make a product that would democratize a bit more UFS skates. The frame is built around these blades : http://www.hockeygiant.com/ccm08plssrunsr.html and they are quite cheap. I’m sure they can be even cheaper if sold in a package with the frame. To be honest, I would love to market this whole thing around 40USD. But I don’t know if it will be possible or if I will ever be able to go very far with the whole thing.

  29. Chris Piascik Says:

These are rad. I want them.

  31. firth Says:

in england its snowed all winter n theres not many skateparks nearby. these frames would’ve come in very handy ha. good work

  32. christian Says:

GOOD JOB mon JD !! Super bonne idée que tu as eu. Ça va être parfait pour les gens qui désirent jouer au hockey pour le fun quelques fois dans la saison. Beau travail ;)

  33. Iah Says:

Dudes, aggressive ice skating with real h-blocks and all, and ice skateparks already exist since a long time, I must just find the website to show you.

  34. Head check Says:

Carbons would be the only skate I’d trust when doing this. I’d even take it a step farther and cut down the soul plates. Hockey skates need more ankle support than rollerblades, your on a much thinner point. And getting a slap shot to the side of some OS remz will quickly either break the boot, or break the frame clean off the UFS mounts.

  36. josh Says:

yeah, people have been doing this for a bit, go google ice ramps, or ice skating ramps. in my opinion aggressive skating on ice seems like a recipe for disaster, plus that blade… but just to use as ice skates in off seasons would be fun, they look strong and its always cool to see a new product for our skates trying to take off

  37. full cab tru topacid Says:

i seen people try grind and jump with ice skates on here before.

    why not try with these?

  38. rastaman_dreadlock Says:

Wishing you a good luck with final version! I want to buy them so bad. Winter in Russia is damn long, and I don’t want to buy hockey skates for just few skate-sessions, but I’ll definetely buy those frames if they’ll be produced

  39. Jan Says:

Holy shit, I was just ice skating on valentines day and thinking the same thing…
    Fucking awesome!

  40. SanoSlayr Says:
