You go around saying how rollerblading is about being “new” and creative, what’s so new about trying to wear the most attention seeking outfit? everyone do it.. with all the silly little ties and fancy shirts and skin tight girls jeans, it gets kinda old fashioned, don’tcha think?

The clothes don’t make a trick better, forget about that, you can wear whatever you want, and do as many toe rolls and small shit as you want, that won’t make you special,new,creative,newschoo, whatever the fuck you wanna call it. Hard shit and advanced shit is difficult, and has it’s injuries and scary parts, if you can’t handle it then bitch out! but don’t go wearing tight jeans and trying to say you are better than the other people hucking themselves at huge shit just because you don’t have the balls to do so.

I agree with the first part of the paragraph, about rollerblading not always being about hucking yourself to some crazy shit and getting hurt, and rollerblading being all about fun.

The second part I don’t agree with as much, don’t tell people what’s important about rollerblading, take Carlos Pianowski for example, guy does certain tricks on insane drop rails and hammer ledges, he is amazing, he brings new tricks to the sport that no one else can do, or dares to do for that matter, he IS new, he IS creative, his tricks stand out.

Rolling is about improving yourself, always pushing harder, creativety is about pushing the bounderies, seeing what else can be done, sometimes IT IS a switchup on a kink rail, sometimes it IS some toe roll on some rolling( very rarely though, haha), everyone do different things with rollerblading, shits fresh.

But other then that, great contest and I’m looking forward to seeing who is going to be the lucky winner :)

But still, the “dress to impress” rule… It has nothing to do with the trick itself. Maybe with the spot, like Guyont’s pic on the red/white ledge, dressed red & white ?

But still… Jochen, your skating is full of creativity, but the way you dress has nothing to do with it.

I think the “rules” can only limit people’s creativity though, which is a real shame…..

Great idea overall. Rollin’ is sick as hell but I’m findin’ watchin’ most people’s profiles predictable now.
