I never eluded to lust being a sin. I was just saying that it takes talent to make an appealing advertisement that isnt sexual. Sex of course isnt a sin, when confined in marriage, and yes I do believe in Christ, no Im not catholic. The point is that Im tired of being subjected to filth. The same filth most people encourage in response to Christian counter-cultures such as :the stereotypical catholic, child molesting, money hungry, peoples in power.
and when you say you prefer sexy lifestyles as opposed to flat normal lifestyles, I can only guess that you too have fallen for the brain wash that short term pleasure will bring you long term happiness.
Whats the meaning of life? Whats you purpose?

I wasnt the one who brought religion into this, but I sure will stand up for what I believe in. In fact Im not a fan of religion, but I do believe that Christ is real and there is a heaven and hell. As for Constantine,what evidence do you have that Constantine created Christianity, or was it Christ, maybe monkeys had someting to do with it. The Bible is the oldest and strongest historical document in the world. Ever heard of the Dead Sea Scrolls.As well as the 40 different people all writing about the accounts of Jesus that they witnessed themselves, and not a single cotradiction. Thats something to believe in. Im not trying to sell you and Im sorry if I came off as a smart ass, but I believe everyone needs to find out for themselves the truth about life, without swallowing some garbage they hear from the media.

You can say Im an idiot but you cant say I dont know anything about religion. You cant say I dont know shit about photography because they hang my work in galleries. Im very alve and do know a thing or two about life. Lastly, its easy to conclude that math, science, and history all point to a Christ. All you have to do is search for truth.

For Concerned, I respect your religious beliefs but i’m sure that articles of the bible contradict and challenge each other many times, such as whether ressurection in Heaven is bodily or spiritual. Other issues such as whether homosexuals and followers of other religions also come into question with various views through out Christianity being differentated and derivived from the Bible itself.
I also question why it may seem incomprehensable for youself that the purpose of life may simply be to enjoy it.

For concerned, I actually am currently studying the bible for my philosophy course that I am taking. For an example of a contradiction within the bible John 14:2 pronounces Jesus’s talking of “In my fathers house are many rooms”, generally believed that there is access to Heaven even through other religions, John 14:6 Jesus says “I am the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me” generally interpretated to be that you must follow Christianity and have faith to enter into Heaven.
You yourself believe that the followings of christ will help to a more fullfilled life but I question whether this can be due to the followings of christ being lessons of kindness and love E.g Love they neighbour and I agree with you that to do an action you are proud of brings great enjoyment and happyness but are these simply lessons of Jesus alone or lessons that can be learnt elsewhere? Were they not present before jesus? Is love and kindness simply a common era invention of the last 2000 years? I question whether following Jesus is the only way of discovering these profound truths.
I do believe in a greater being just not the being of classical theism who contains soo many contradictions. God is described as omnipotent, omniscience, omnibenovelent and a characterisation of complete justice but the concept of hell would bring into question his omnibenovelence. I do not reject god all togather but I do reject the notion of god as Christianity and Judaism picture him as I find so much contradiction and ambigouity that surronds it.

And by the way “concerned” the bible has so many contradictions throughout, its ridiculous. Constantine helped to create Christianity by discarding all text that made Jesus appear like a regular man, and keeping text refering to Jesus as the mesiah. Read “The Jesus Mysteries”. She does have a pretty nice booty though, I’m buying those underwear now.lol.
Maybe some would prefer a small boy in the underwear instead. lol.

How can anyone ever tell a Christian that they are being close minded when they believe in a God, in Heaven, a Christ, miracles, ect..Whos they whos telling me I have to believe, I seek truth like anyone on this planet. You say that I believe because I was raised this way or something, how about being raised in a secular society that tells us thier set of whatever it is that MTV is trying to sell lately. Its the same concept. I could argue forever about whos right, contradictions in the Bible, I stil havent heard of any, either way I would truly be happy if poeple would just research it for themselves without swallowing generalizations.
As for John 14:2 “In my fathers house are many dwelling places; if not, I will go away and prepare a place for you.” This is Jesus speaking to the disciples about the endless amount of spaces in heaven, kind of an analogy, not that there is more than one way into Heaven.This disproves the Jahovas witness idea of the limited amount of space in Heaven. And, dont get me wrong I agree that there are people from many different religions that will make it into Heaven. Not like a protestans burn thing. Wich brings us to John14:6 which says” I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me.” This is Jesus referencing the price he is paying for our sin on the cross in his near future. It is that people have to know that they are sinners believe in Christ, ask for their forgiveness. Of course you probably knew that. The question I didnt understand for a while was how can one mans death account for a forever of sin. But it was a perfect man. Agree to his existance or not, that has to make since to a certain extent. Now if that doesnt make sense theres another way to think about God.
We see life and in existance at 3D, maybe think we comprehend a fourth demention now and then. But God seees us in a light we can never imagine. Try to imagine a new color, you cant, but God can. In that same way he speaks life into existance and forgives of our sins. The Bible is a book worth reading. Even if you think Constantine wrote it/altered it whatever.
As for Good and Evil, You say that these concepts were around before Christ. Of course they were Adam and Eve knew that since they bite into the fruit. But lets say for instance that it was just a natural occurence due to evolution that people have a sense of right and wrong. Who is to tell me that I cant kill another man for looking at me wrong. Whos to say that I shouldnt bomb nursing homes for fun. If theres no God why should I listen to a society who divorce rate is up to 50% and people kill themselves to escape. Why dont i take over the world. Why do I want a blinged out chain to wear while Im sippin on Starbucks talking on my Iphone. People take for granted their right to think freely, to exercise freedom of religion.

If I am just a human, no connection to any higher power. Why not smoke the opium and make my meaningless existence more enjoyable. Other than the health benefits of not smoking. But maybe I would want to get this life over with, whos to say? Because a life without a Christ would allow me to set my own norms.
Questioning is good, it encourages growth, Im actually glad to see people using their brains for once.

Concerned, quote “I seek truth like anyone on this planet.” You later say whilst referring to Karl Marx that you follow religion to “make my meaningless existence more enjoyable”, if you are serously seeking for the truth as I believe you are I advise for you to read some philosophy books that go against the existence of god or religion. For example a Richard Dawkins or Freud even. To serously find the truth you must study all views, theorys and areas on religion not simply the bible as you suggest we all study. Infact you most likely will stick with your intiail belief with Christianity but never the less it will further inform and educate yourself and perhaps it will even strengthen you belief in Christ. Indeed my study of philosophy has cemented my belief in god, I personally believe that a world so developed and intwined with human needs and evolution can not simply be a coincedence, especially with such beauty that can be found in the world but this does not nessecarily mean a god who will intervene within the world as Christianity often proposes.
There are also many contradictions found within the bible notably when contrasting the old and new testament. The views on god contrast from a vengful god in the old testament to a loving god of the new.
You ask why do you not take over the world, do percieved evil actions if there is no god. Many athiests still follow moral codes through out the world, one may say from a materialist prospectus that Society is simply created for the continuation of the human race, reproduction. This may be argued to be the sole reason for the existence of morals and society. In fact one may find many links between survival in society and survival within animal herds.
I respect that you hold beliefs, my simple concern is that you can be so sure of your beliefs to be so true as extreme belief in any prospectus whether it be Christian, Muslim, Hindu or Athiest is dangerous.

Anyone who believes their religion is the one everyone should follow or they burn in hell has a very caged mind.
There is no one right path for everyone, other than to walk your OWN truth. Jesus called the church of his time ” a pit of vipers”. This stands true today. “Concerned” you have entirely missed the point of the Karl Marx quote. What it means is “religion” is like a narcotic for the masses which keeps them from forming their own clear thoughts about what is going on in their world. It has nothing to do with whether or not someone should smoke opium. The sad fact of the matter is how similar Judaism,Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism are, and how much death has been dealt fighting amongst each other. They are all “saviourist” religions that believe that human beings are flawed,wounded creatures in need of saving. We are light beings, ALL of us. We are ALL
ONE. Religions tend to seperate people, and this is the begining of sorrow.
