anyone who has a job can buy a 35mm adapter..not that hard to use one either.especially if you know what your doing.seems like every videographer in the rollerblading industry is using or trying to use one now..its like “here, watch me focus in and out every other shot you see”….im sure the glamour will ware off soon. nice trailer cant wait untill it comes out..
much love to paz on this one. the only other skater making movies with good taste in music, skating, filming, and editing. probably the first video i’ll buy since The Truth. props bro good work, good work.
btw,
35mm adapters are just another phase in “skate edit makers” as I call em, like at first it was Gl1s, and then GL2s, and then century optics fisheyes steuped up from raynox, then it was 24p, then HD, and now 35mm. The film industry shoots every single thing on 2k resolution and up with 35mm look top to bottom. What matters is what’s in front of the camera. You can show up at a steven spielberg set of jurrassic park, remove his 35mm arriflex film camera, and replace it with a GL1, you still have the same entertaining action with great composition to shots and lighting as you would with a film camera.
Not hating on any skaters trying to step their game up on equipment, that’s always better to up the quality of your work, but #1 thing is what’s in front of the camera, and then how you capture it and tell the story comes second. In this case, Paz has great equipment, good knowledge, and awesome skating, combined with good taste in music and a natural swag = a great video.
Brazil, I think you meant embedded titles. I don’t believe I saw any rotoscoping in this piece.
Also, I think there are a lot of great editors out there that are unknown with good taste in music, skating, TAPING (unless you use a real film camera, you are taping) and editing, and music is always hit or miss in my opinion. You can never please everyone with a music choice, someone will always hate on it.
Some people do generally choose “bad” music though, including myself. :-)
yes we know we are just “taping” things and not filming them. but really tho, who says taping? id much rather say im going out to film opposed to going out to tape.
being from new england and all, it’s pretty awesome to see jeff dalnas’ name included in this line up. i noticed some familiar spots in there. if it is anything like the first truth, this should be very good.
Yeah, good skating, good camera equipment, yet no editing skills. Or do you cut each clip in its middle for a purpose ? This is annoying and is seen in every fuckin edits on this site: from teenagers edits to this. WHY GODDAMNIT!?
you cut a clip mid-trick because its a fuking trailer u retard, if u didnt then there wudnt be a video cos they used all of the best tricks, some people are just stupid.
Brazil needs to shut his trap. Being overrated must give this dude some sense of entitlement to bless us with his ‘professional’ opinion. And Lagoa, you don’t make shit but ashtray money, bro.
hey doubt it. making money is not the most important thing. not in inline skates dude…
its a long walk till u understand that. i took me at least 10 of my 15 years on blades to realize whats is needed to be a blader for ever. and its not money.
whats up braz, long time no see! i still have that shirt heaheahaeheah
Don’t really care myself, if vids are filmed decently and edited in such a way that I can see the tricks, I sit down, shut the fuck up, watch the vid and then go roll.

December 2nd, 2008 at 4:29 pm

December 2nd, 2008 at 4:29 pm
Matter fact, NONE OF YOU can get a real job in the film industry.

December 5th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
