You heard it boyz? That strap keeps your skate locked in place, so when you jump, your skates come with you!

  2. baldy Says:

yeah i bought these off erolling when they first came out, skated them for like a month, and now im back on my rzrs again. They were affecting my skating and didnt feel solid locking on certain tricks. They are nice just not for me. I really didnt like how the cuffs and souls are stamped on. That will be a bitch later to drill off and try to replace. So anyone in the KC metro area, I got some DT5′s for sale for 100$ boot onlys…

  3. hatish Says:

common guys we need to support rollerblade.
almost all problems are fixed in this skate!
i prefer razors, xsjados, USD’s but we need rollerblade in our industry.
respect for not giving up and still making pretty good skates.

  4. eric Says:

    truth: same shit again

  5. Paul Cargill Says:

Would rather have seen the Solo.

  6. el nino Says:

    nice

  7. Desi Jones Says:

Basically you’re saying that they have some collage designs and a power strap……. wow.

  8. Mick Says:

    that was some gay shit….

  9. deniseisatwat Says:

    chris smith is really good.

  10. Fray Says:

    1. stap thing… what?
    2. stock frames – who rides them?
    3. rollerblade has screwed over its riders in the past… why support them now… 3.2 second argument for not supporting them is that our industry has no money… none… skateparks generally speaking make money from the skateboarders and bmxers the pro rollerbladers make next to nothing splitting what little money there is coming into the aggressive market further from companies that give a damb about rollerbladers such as shadow razors remz etc seems bad – i dont wanna hear the diversity in the market place lowers prices argument….
    4. I’ve lost interest in this comment… blah blah blah…

  11. Bkrans Says:

It’s sad we can’t expect an impartial review from Hyser anymore because he’s on their payroll. My DT4s are falling apart after skating them for about a month. That, and Rollerblade can’t decide whether to support the industry by constantly messing with their pro team. On that note, Sizemore rules!

  12. MikeA Says:

“4. I’ve lost interest in this comment… blah blah blah…”

    hahahahaha

  13. danny.g Says:

ya not being mean but rollerblade is one of the brands people who dont skate no about mainly cos its called rollerblade. they are showing kids what skates are like….shit no wonder people hate us lol. they probs have the fucking most money in this industry yet come out with shit,,there team is fucking amazing but get treated lyk shit..i might skate for argos,, probs get treated better haha
ya im pro for argos or tescos lol

  14. nobody Says:

    throw out the shit
    buy the dream http://vimeo.com/2275667

  15. alex Says:

You fucked up kicking Dalnes off he was the best on the team and the skates have always sucked.

  16. tek Says:

A REVIEW no offence but I think the word is PROMOTION that gangly fool might think they stink but hes being payed to promote them.

  17. tek Says:

however I think they look ok why dont they re release the trs alpha and details they were best looking rollerblades but yeah no reason to hate tbh on looks they are fine.

  18. Jay Says:

I have DT4 since when they came out, they are good skates. I would buy this but it’s basically almost the same skates.

Fray, the stock frames on the DT4 and the DT5 are actually good, i just grooved them and they were smooth, and i ride kizer ,GC and able.

i wanna get the allstar 08 thrones though.

  19. Jay Says:

oh and the liners are okay too

  20. fuck em Says:

fuck rollerblade. wackest company out there.no support for them.just leave the sportt you created already

  21. wtf Says:

rollerblade is just a fucking joke now. this company does jack shit for our industry except for putting out shitty products and dropping dope riders. gtfo with your shitty “review” and cheap ass company.

  22. Jay Says:

well you have ur opinions. atleast they have some inovative skates now, the solos look great, Hyser is awsome coming up with the ideas for these skates, and even frames like the Fiziks back in the day

  23. Jay Says:

But can someone tell me really why Rollerblade lost their respect straight up. did they drop the riders cause they could not pay them or something? i hear so many stories, can someone tell me??

  24. Scott Wilcoxson Says:

    Sick skating Chris!

  25. Brandon Andersen Says:

    sick review Richard

  26. Brandon Andersen Says:

    Tom is what i meant

  27. waly Says:

    that is sad to watch

  28. um... Says:

wow, does anyone else agree with me that the skate review was just as boring as the skate itself.

They might be great skates… but watching that review sure doesn’t make me want to get a pari.

At least try to be a little more enthusiastic about them, it was like someone was holding a gun to Tom’s head and forcing him to read out what they wanted him to say…..

    arg…….

Can we get some quality control please!

  29. Fray Says:

    To Rollerblade (the company)
I would like to advise you that everyone is going to hate you and hate on you until you make your choice – support or don’t support industry. And even then we the rollerblade community will still hate you for years (even if you choose support) – you need to earn our trust… like a small dog that bits a baby…
I would suggest the next time you pay someone to review your skate you do it different… you say something along the lines of:
Here is the new skate and you know what – its not as bad as you think… the liner and cuff are not shit like you would expect and give you some support (then show a clip of that same person doing a trick that needs cuff/liner support such as a cab 7 off a big drop)… the soul plate grinds nice (then show them 360 souling a kink)… the backslide grove lines up with the stock frame that you will not ride for more than 30 seconds (and show them back backing a crazy drop rail)…. [if the design maintains the need for a power strap which i find hard to believe but if it does say:] this strap makes a difference even though it seems like it would not, it allows the skate to stick to you more on tech tricks (and show a nice ultra fast long true fish on a ledge)…. and maybe you wanna show some tech switch up on a handy…

but anyway as always i have now lost interest in this comment… if you have read this far… good for you… I’m not going try and say I have reread the crap I have just written… blah blah blah…

  30. Fray Says:

    *bites*

  31. archer Says:

    smells like a sellout ad

  32. nilinds Says:

    booo!

  33. FR Says:

its called a krank strap and was invented in ’93

    FFFFFF RRRRR
    FF RR RR
    FFFFFF RRRRR
    FF RR RR
    FF RR RR

  34. FR Says:

    ….FFFFFF……RRRRR……..
    ….FF …………RR ….RR…..
    ….FFFFFF……RRRRR……..
    ….FF …………RR ….RR…..
    ….FF …………RR ……RR…

  35. waaaannaaabedreedeezieee Says:

    Tom,
don’t you ever get tired of getting hated on in every single post. Everyone knows you’re a sell-out piece of shit! Man, I bet Erin harbors bad feelings because her husband is a failure at everything. You sucked at Fiziks (good frames I’ll give you) but you couldn’t make it work, You couldn’t make Skatepile work, so you weazled your way into a side of a company that was being handle much better by your predecessor and then basically kicked him off the team. And then you come out with the “solo” which is basically a dirk, and then you throw powerstraps on the DT5….note to everyone, they won’t do shit!! TOM , seriously, you’re a LOSER!!

  36. bastard Says:

go back to the detail, estillo, access etc. those were the best. if they were re-released with upgrades made, then i would love TRS. the new skates are ok… the only thing good about rollerblade is its team tho.

  37. tek Says:

exactly omg the detail chunky white skates with triple xl lol those were the days.

  38. coffee Says:

looks alright, probably doesn’t skate half bad either. but i won’t buy another rollerblade until SOMEBODY gives me my $150 back for my DT3s!! i spent all my christmas money and half my birthday money on that mess. i could have bought a frickin cult 6 or summit, but i bought a DT3.

david sizemore is making a mistake riding for RB. he’s so great, he could probably be on ANY team he wanted, but he’s stuck on rollerblade.

maybe these skates ARE amazing. maybe the point eights WILL revolutionize wheel sizing. maybe the solos ARE the next best thing. or maybe rollerblade is a crap company with no real purpose in the industry…

another thing: isn’t tom hyser reading these comments right now? doesn’t he see all the hate (along with the minimal support)? doesn’t he know how the rollerblading community feels? doesn’t he understand what rollerbladers want/expect in a quality skate?

    and seriously, WHERE’S MY $150???

  39. Cochell Says:

waaaannaaabedreedeezieee – post your name, don’t talk shit if you cant put your name behind it. Tom didn’t run his projects into the ground. He had outstanding circumstances beyond his control (a dieing industry of children who cannot support innovation) This is neither here nor there. Tom is a great guy he has done a lot for the sport. Rollerblade, I admit, fucked over Broscow and the others left but they are working to make a comeback. We need to support our industry not slam it. Back to what you were saying: you are the loser. Come to Atlanta and look me up. We can talk this out. – Cochell -

  40. Eric Says:

Actually the best improvement is the buckle, finally they appear to be strip proof. Rollerblade probably thought they were cutting back with the new buckle design but it actually seems to be better than one that went all the way back to the TRS Access. As for non replaceable souls though, there’s no excuse for that, this isn’t 1995, cuffs, souls and most other parts should be replacable.

Cochell….CoCo Sanchez? okay, he is your friend and you are going to defend him, I applaud you for that. But it doesn’t change the facts. Here is a free lesson…
okay, he DID run his projects into the ground first off. Jess D. has had 50/50 since like ’94 and he is still making it. I can only speculate at what happened with fiziks, but the bottom line is that it came down to money. And other frame companies made it, so Tom didn’t make the right choices. Live and learn, they were good frames.
Skatepile…same shit, look at all the other online skateshops that are and have been making it. Just count them, there are several.
Rollerblade…Plain and simple, he weazled and back stabbed his way in that one!! no question about it. and then paying dudes like rob and julien more money than dave and jeff…lets get real, playing favorites! and his actions toward richie v….dont get me started
lastly, fyi…on people getting “fucked over” When skaters are being paid to promote a product, or go to contests, or skate demos, and they dont’ show up, or they show up late, or they show up trashed….well, then they get what is coming to them.
The bottom line is this…if you really look at the actions, Tom seems to be more about hooking up his boys and looking cool than getting kids into a dying sport. And that is why people don’t like him.

  42. Hiram Says:
