  1. Brian Krans Says:

If they’re as good and cheap as the Pro Series bearings, I’ll buy the shit out of them.

  2. valo ab1 Says:

price is the same as the abec 7 and pro series, so 18$

  3. valo ab1 Says:

and don’t worry about the quality!

  4. street Says:

    why get pro bearings?

you can’t even see that they broskow on them

  5. QuackOne Says:

sick color. and i got the pro series right now. so im sure these bearings are gonna be 100% sick.

    quackOne

  6. jomu Says:

you buy pro series bearings because you support the pro with a contribution from the price of the bearings.

  7. weak sauce Says:

pro bearings are the stupidest idea ever

  8. lol Says:

These would so cool on my skates…..

Oh yeah you cant see them

  9. 3M3M Says:

    first pro bearings, whos next?

btw this idea is as stupid as pro wheels, u rearly can see whos wheels some1 riding

  10. b Says:

Its not stupid…its a step in the right direction. brand your name as much as possible.

  11. dmel Says:

Its not the color or name or design or whatever, its supporting the person by purchasing their merchandise….

  12. j Says:

Are you guys so stupid to not realize that pro products are made because the pro rider gets a part of the sales????? To say pro wheels are stupid means your stupid

  13. j Says:

What is stupid is buying a product just so someone can see you with it. Damn thats some gay shit. You buy pro stuff cause you like a pros skating and want to support them.

  14. nappy Says:

wow, rollerblading aint go no where with all these little haters lame ass attitudes. imma buy the shit outta these. gettin your name on anything would be fucking sweet. especially coming from a pretty sweet company. AB’s the man and just about anyone who got a “pro” anything put in a lot more work than half of your sorry ass’s on this. rollerblade, support, and represent all day everyday. kids like you fuck good things up. get a fucking helmet.

  15. coffee Says:

ok, if pros get a share of everything we buy that has their name on it, what happens to the pros that get their names on unpopular products (i.e. grey featherlites)? are they left out to dry with no money, even though they’re on the team?

they should let EVERY pro get a share of EVERY product that a company sells. that way, you can support your favorite skaters and still get whatever design/colour/type of product that you actually wanted.

  16. dan bond Says:

I bought the grey Featherlights. They are awesome.

  17. j Says:

Most “pro” product shares are based on supply created in a production run versus supply sold to the market. For example, when a pro item is created, like gray featherlites, the pro gets a percentage on how many frames ground control produces in that production run. So what really matters is that percentage point. Its then the responsibility of them and the stores to sell the product. Now if the consumers don’t show interest in a product it might not sell out and this may factor on whether or not that pro gets the pay day of having another run of their pro product made. For pro skates this usually comes in the 500 to 2000 pairs per production run range. What makes this possible is that companies sell to stores directly primarily, not necessarily the end consumer, hence the difference between wholesale and retail. So companies usaully get rid of a pro product and can pay a pro up front. so all in all , BUY those bearings instead of other bearings because at least you know a portion, however small it maybe, goes to a guy whos busted his ass and has done a lot and will continue to do so much for the progression of rolling.

  18. stay golden Says:

it doesn’t necessarily mean that if a product is unpopular they don’t get any money im sure they still get something but seeing as to how im not a paid professional i will never know how much that amount may be im sure its a salary of some kind and extra for royalties but really it all comes down to the marketing aspect of things i think. They put the names on these products because we are familiar with these names, we look up to them, we enjoy all the sections they put out, and so along with that it would hopefully mean more sales for those companies so they can pay their riders respectfully and then they can all continue to shred for all of us to see.

I know all of us are way too “cool” to fall for such marketing techniques, I know when it comes to rollerblading we are more worried about having quality products then what names comes on those products. But lets face it either way we need to support so if it does mean alex get a little bit more money in his pocket due to him being so awesome then I will do everything I can to support those companies as long as those products are full on quality which im sure jon always delivers so why worry. If rolling ever got big enough though im sure names on products will for sure mean more sales but we can only wait and hope for those days to come.

  19. rollerblading is gay Says:

wait…did someone say a pro rider gets part of the sales? hahahhahahahhahhaha. you read the contracts for these people? hahahhahaa. fuckin TOOL!

  20. johnson Says:

sorry but i cant support someone that fuckin wears tie dye shit for gods sake….

  21. zigan Says:

will you make pro series of buckles ???or bolts???

  22. Jeremy Says:

I didn’t know alex broskow was black !!

  23. hamad Says:

stop hatin on alex broskow he’s much better than you haters!

  24. pieper Says:

most of you make me sad to be a rollerblader.
    depressing…

  25. Chris Says:

    I like beer.

  26. yup Says:

i`d buy them… just to fuck you guys up a bit……

  27. ben g Says:

    ya beers good

  28. Racer 5 Says:

    Yeah. beer does sound good.

Broskow deserves a pro EVERYTHING. Dude is g as fuck! Transforming the game!
Buying these and Pint of Racer 5.

  29. eddie Says:

this is pointless. Pro rollerbladers are really starving for a buck. I feel sorry for them.

  30. very nice Says:

for the dude talking about the grey featherlites being unpopular, how do you know this – did you go to rollerblade marketing college? By the way if i was pro i would try to get a fuckin pro model everything- Pro Laces, Cuff Bolts, Bracelets, fuckit. I still think some company should do what mechanizm did awhile back, rider edition 3rd party packs (Souls frames, laces) that would be sweet.

  31. Ben Says:

Just wondering – have any skateboard companies ever released a pro bearing?

  32. onelovenohate Says:

hey johnson, what’s wrong with tie dye? you got something against hippies? out where i live (SF), hippies own medical pot clubs AND support rollerblading, 2 things Mr. Johnson wishes he could do (jk!)

seriously though, whose style do you look up to?

  33. onelovenohate Says:

to Jeremy who said “I didn’t know alex broskow was black !!

can’t you tell Jon Julio’s hand when you see it?

    lol

  34. John Castellani Says:

too much stupid rollerbladers at rollernews… beginners…

  35. johnson Says:

hey onelovenohate, i dont look up to anyones style, i do my own thing. ive been skating for well over a decade and thats long enough to not be all caught up in all of the bullshit trends. i skate for one reason and one reason only my friend, for the LOVE. Not out to impress anyone with crazy ass tricks or wearing the shit thats “in” at the moment. and i dont really care about the pot clubs or whatever is going on out there where you are from. i dont do drugs, smoke or drink simply because its a total waste of my life, time and money. i actually give a shit about my body, just take a beating from falling every now and then and thats about it. tie dye looks terrible and it never was cool btw.

  36. jem Says:

if you dont wanna buy them to support something great… BUY THEM COS THEY ARE THE FUCKING SWISS SHIT!!
    feel the ride

  37. Travis Stewart Says:

Onelovenohate, I love the pro package idea. :) really, i know tons of kids on rollernews that would love to jock their favorite pro even harder. /jokes. haha. But really, i do like that idea, and yeah, AB swiss bearings? I’m in. A bearing is a bearing, but supporting rollerblading is what’s the best. :)

  38. balls Says:

very good but not swiss !

  39. JRay Says:

ABEC 7, cheap bearings, and a kick-back to Brosky? Sounds good to me.

  41. mr_roller Says:

man there just bearings if there cheap and run sweet it dosnt matter if its pro or wat every its still performance that ppl should b aiming to buy not names or companys

  42. frauke Says:

this discussion is ridiculous! …why did i read it? fuck!

  43. Kofster77 Says:

black, red, and white featherlites are more popular than greys. obviously I don’t have the exact statistics, but you can tell.

  44. Roussel Says:

    “Ben Says:

Just wondering – have any skateboard companies ever released a pro bearing?”

    yes all the time

  45. Oskars Says:

    rollerbladers are stupid!!!

P.S. congrats Broskow, bearings look cool! :)

  46. tobias Says:

Why is everyone crying about this pro bearing stuff. Skateboarders have been doing this for DECADES. this is WAY overdue in the blading industry. If people just realized that buy ONLY supporting blader owned or run companies instead of lets say Bones or Boss, then our industry would be SO much bigger and interesting to younger new rollers. STOP buying stuff that doesnt go back to skaters if you dont haqve to.

  47. Peedubb80 Says:

I don’t care if they put there names on stuff, at lease I know a roller is being supported. Just make quality equipment. We put our ass in our hands with these products and we can’t afford for them to be cheap and fail on us at the wrong times. We all know this can be bad.

Just remember this( to all of us rollin) Only rollerbladers can kill rollerblading. With all this unjustisfied hate flying around makes us look stupid.

But hey call shit like you see it. Thats what I do.

  48. onelovenohate Says:

johnson, jk means just kidding, and honestly, i’ve been skating almost 2 decades (it’s come a long way!)
i don’t smoke anymore either, it does wear on the body so props for taking care of yourself, we have a legal (3 gs in taxes to CA just this quarter!) medical club that sometimes puts out prize money for rollerblading comps, that’s all i was referring to
as for the brosk, i think that’s why he wears tie dye and whatever weird stuff he wants to, because he doesn’t care what people think
i will def buy the bearings to support brosky and our industry
and it’s cool to be out on your own, but i think our industry would be stronger if we could all find a way to unite, for rollerblading’s sake

  49. weak sauce Says:

broskows skating is sick, but the dude is a huge douche in real life and smells like baby shit… literally

  50. Brian Krans Says:

    “valo ab1 Says:
price is the same as the abec 7 and pro series, so 18$…and don’t worry about the quality!”

    WOO-HOO!!!

ON THE PRO BEARING THING: The nice thing is that I can ride some damn good bearings for cheap and some of the proceeds go to my favorite riders. Seriously, who loses in this deal? No one, that’s who

  51. rza Says:

I think ThemGoods bearings look fresh. Yeah, you can’t see them when you ride but I rather buy from a company that puts out dope edits and videos as well as fresh skates I can ride.

For all the haters out there, take a look at the skateboard industry.

When a company like ThemGoods puts out quality made cool looking products with nice package design it makes blading look more professional and it will appeal to more people this way. Do you want to go back to 98 with wack ass wheel designs/cores and ugly ass non-ufs skates? No thanks.

Give Julio and guys like Shima a high five for making rading look sick as fuck, for me, and everyone else out there.

    Fuck you haters

  52. ..... Says:

    BONES > ALL OTHER BEARINGS

  53. Lukas Says:

    Sorry, but I

  54. Danielson Says:

Pro anything is good. Maybe you think it’s dumb to have pro bearings, or pro shoes, or whatever. But the fact of the matter is, that having pro products helps EVERYBODY! More people will buy a product if it has their favorite skater’s name on it, so the helps the company. And since the pro gets a cut of that money, it helps them. And oh yeah, we win in this deal too. We get more and more products to choose from. Our favorite skaters make NO MONEY. Top skaters should get a cut from every company that they represent. All the haters should start using their brains before they open their mouths. Thats if they have brains.

  55. olfertpoelen.com Says:

why worry so much about supporting pros?
why should i support them by buying stuff so they don’t have to look for a propper job?
yeah we need rollmodels to look up to…
but why should i give them my hard earned money by something we all love to do for fun?

still its a cool thing that the dude gets respect for his skills
but a name on a bearing? sounds rediculous to me…
after you have put your wheels in your frame you won’t see that name ever again untill you pop the bearings out to replace them…

  56. jv Says:

    that is boo shit

  57. tman Says:

ok guys. a name on a bearing isnt a bad idea. its good for alex, and its good for us. i know alex in person i skate with him every thursday, and he is clean is hell. he doesnt even drink. so nobody should think he does drugs. and tie die shirts…? you guys are raggin on alex because hes trying to have that kind of still? that guy fucking came up with that style! alex’s rolling has always been sick, and will remain the same forever. if u think the bearing idea is stupid, its ur opinion. but you dont have to call everyone dumbasses for disagreeing. im buying these bearings.

    -T

  58. valo ab1 Says:

we don’t see the bearing when rolling but we know we have a good bearing in the wheel

  59. onelovenohate Says:

when are these coming out? just checked amall and all they have so far are haffey/bailey, which i might get, if it’ll be a while before the broskows come out

  60. valo ab1 Says:

revolution already have them amall this week for sure

  61. killbabies Says:

    broskow ftw

  62. i eat babies Says:
